splice

as i numbered these 1 is getting cut and new connectors for the pos coil terminal. 2 is the kill switch. 3 is the ground for the coil that will have to be jumped from terminal to terminal. 4 should plug into the harness for my handwarmers and racepack correct?? where do i add the regulator in the harness? on the #4 plug side of things or maby the cdi side or does it even matter where its put?
what are the pther two plugs on the left for? with the ? on?
wiring120-1.jpg

i was told the pink wire was for additional map to run nitrous? but what is this other black white stripe for ?

Brown plug is your temp sensor, black white wire is temp light in tach. Im thinking the black plug is your oil level senser. Hope I helped I went threw this putting a xcr 800 motor in a edge.

no spark

do i need a ground to the motor seperate than the coils? which wire needs to ground to the block? do i just ground any brown to it? i dont recall grounding any other motors that way.
maby i just need to jump the back side of the coils to each other?

I'm been following this thread for I while now and got to the conclusion that I will be ending up building one of 'em soon.

May I be able to use 3 SLP, JAWS, CS, twin pipes for example ves 800?

Or must I buy special made pipes?

Yes other 800 pipes fitted are what we run Cs is what i here is the best. Also i think you can get just the stampings (nice and clean)

Woody tested CS, JAWS and SLP. I was there helping out, and SLP is the way to go for power! ( dyno tested and proved!)
By far the best pipes, but CS makes them bolt in, so alot easier.
I run Crankshops as well, but when I get around to it, I will fit a set of SLP-pipes. No doubt!

Nice pipes!

So explain the slp pipe thing, what baseline pipe are you using. Does slp sell a pipe kit that we can fit int he sled or do you need to find 2 sets of used twin slp pipes and then fit them. Has anyone used a can instead of stinger that is what I want is a quiet 1200 my pipes flat SUCK

You need one set for the twin motor + one more pipe and you must fit them yourself.
When i test pipes for the 800 ves cylinders i have a motor (testmotor) on a testbench, here can i test porting/pipe/timing/heads and more, this is mutch easyer than a sled with motor, so i have not fitted the Slp pipe for my chassie.
I also run C/S pipes on my 1200 sleds, with this i now have about 260hp/8400rpm and around 165f/p/8100rpm safe trail with Polaris 800 cylinders, if i had Slp pipes it would be 10+ hp more.
I runned one of my 1200 sleds (260hp motor) 800km over 4 days with Swedish 95okt (98 okt pumps was dry), i dont know what that will be in usa okt but this tells me that this motors are good pumpgas performers:) just give them enough fuel.

Trottle respons from a N/A 2 stroke is better than 4 stroke turbo hp:beer;

PSI1200: I have a price 1425 78mm stroke with jaws D-pipe, crankshop 50 t-slide. The engine is dynoed to 273 hp @ 8300 rpm, not that impressive :( So I wondered what pipes worked best for you?

I Had mike at cpi racing build me a custom set they worked by far better than the c/s for my motor . Your bore and stroke is close to what mine is so they would probaly work very well but fitting them is the problem.

Brad

Brad: that is some serious powah at that rpm :beer; I have a bunch of other pipes that I will test first price/jaws. If no one of those work I will contact Mike @ CPI

I had cs make my IQR1200 pipes with 12"x3" silencers. Mine is noticably quieter than my brothers with the standard silencers.
