Thanks Lynn. What's the best one?
Anyone have a wet kit for a carb triple for sale?

I used a 60 shot on the 12 hundy and it was a boondocker setup. I had zero issues. Ran three single manifolds, put them in the ends of the pods and swapped them into the air box for the deep days.

Lynn, did you have any trouble tuning three manifolds? I have heard they are a PITA to get one right no less three.
Madcow-Cool. I know who he is.
Thanks!

If you have dialed in your motor, and you are using a EGT monitor, like a digitron, for monitoring your motor. Then no, it was super easy. It took me about 3 pulls on the road in at low elevation, then three more up top. Just like power jets!!

ft lbs

how many ft lbs are torqued on say
crank case=?
cylinder nuts=?
head=?

You dont need a spacer just cut out the bulkhead on the right hand side make sure you have plenty of clearance for the mag housing or you will break it of the motor if it rubs Trust ME .

you could cut the bulk head, if ya do make sure to reinforce it again. i did this a few years ago and the bulk head only lasted one season before it cracked to hell. it did have about 4000 miles on it when i droped the 1200 into it.

The second bulkhead i used, i raised the engine about 1/2 inch off the engine plate that i got from brad. this put the bottom of the engine above the part that you would have to cut out. very easy to do. i have some pics somewhere if you want em. either way its gonna hall azz and break that chassis........:D every Edge ive seen last a few seasons before the bulkhead is toast.

A horse leg? good lord that is badd HaHaHa

I think i have him lined out Darrin

Even if the bulkhead is reinforced, they still crack up? Then what chassis do you guys recommend? I'm looking for a chassis to start an asphalt project.

Dont do that !! If you do that you will not have a pure Polaris motor anymore:(
That would be the same as if your wife had a horse leg....she would probebly run as hell a few days but she would not be pure....and ugly as hell...LOL

WTF??? Ugly :confused::confused:

Dude, these powerplants are anything but ugly. And the power + reliability you get is hard to beat...

I'm sure Woody ment that any wife would be ugly with a horse's leg! lol.
That said, price motors are far from as appealing as a pwc case with polaris cylinders and a nice one-piece head!
The price configuration is old school, and not as good, nor as good looking!

I.M.O.

Ps. And I know for a fact Woody just dynoed a safe 260 hp in a Pure Polaris 1200.
So there are both power an reliability.
And that's not at 9500rpm, but at a calm 8500rpm.

To each his own I guess. In my opinion it is far more sexy to have a set of Price cylinders under the hood than stock polaris.
Besides, with a stroke of 65mm my piston lives a good life at 9500rpm.

And as for 269hp that is about the number Urban Erixon has in his Cat based 1055cc price asphalt sled. Yes, this is prostock trim, but try getting 270hp out of a w/c 1050 engine without boost or Nos..;)

Happy trails.
