So how much power can the P-85 primary take. I will be pushing 290 hp on the button. Should I be concerned?

you might want to beef up your belt guard, or get some life insurance. I think you are hurting yourself on the 1st half of the shift.. hrp puts alot more squeeze on the belt=== power to the track. I have ran both and run the hrp now.

Thanks, Im covered on the life insurance, how about a 1/4 plate steel clutch cover:D. Ok really, where can I find a HRP clutch.

Lynn might know where theres a good used HRP. If not Break out the check book, there about 1100 bucks.

sleds almost there. About 1 more day of workin on it. its coming together very nice.

Ouch, If I could find a used one for half that would be doable. Cant wait to see your pimped out sled.

40/1 is what i always used you need to burn klotz baby call me greg i have it in stock now. Brad

Looks good R8N! I finally assembled my motor over the weekend and dropped it in the chassis hopefully for the last time! Finish the plumbing and electrical this week and get started on the pipes and then its ready for the snow!!! Ill get some pix up soon! Thanks to all for the help guys!

Started mocking up my engine now. But can someone messure their XCR / Ultra flywheel? Seam to have a very thight tolareance between strator and flywheel. Worried that one of the parts are worng.

My strator messures 104,5mm and my flywheel messure 106mm on the inside. Should it really be this thight? Never looked before att this but last night when I just held the strator inside the mag housing and tried to slied on the flywheel on the crank i was amased how thight the flywheel was over the strator.

Nevermind, got it bolted up today, and everything fits like a glove! Really nice!

When doing some more mockup today I noticed that if one mounts the water pump as its installed on the 650:s you cant move it to tension the belt. My water pump sticks on the lower bolt of the pump hosuing. Is it the same on yours?

Verifed that it does this both on UBR hosing and Brads new housing. Could it be that I have a driffrent year of the pump, or have you "grinded" the pump down so it can move freely?

Have a blog on my build, you proberly wont understand what I write there but I will post pics of the progress if someone wants to follow a build. http://1050mod.blogspot.com/

I had the same deal on the waterpump to mag housing clearance. I just took a little off the waterpump and mag housing to get it to move though the adjustment range.

Great, I thought that it would be possible to get it to move with removing a little bit of material. What belt are you using, stock 650 lenght or do I need something else?

What pipes are you using?
Is that SLP pipes?

Nevermind, found a pic with crank shop written all over them :-)

Yep stock 650 wp belt. There is also a Napa lawn and garden belt that works. I will see if I can find the P/N, 4Z has the P/N as well.

you need to wire up those things for them to work. Did ya get a tripple tach? What CDI ya using? 650? ultra? xcr? we need the facts.

you need a mountain fit hood 3"-4" taller than stock or what most of us use is a Diamond S hood. These engines like air so alot of vents is a must if ya dont use the mesh hood.
