800?

i still have the hubs if you are interested Brad

does the 800 xcr stator and flywheel perform better than the 700 xcr? if so, you need the 800 cdi rectifier and coils- correct? do you make the mag housing for this setup, i thought i heard the 800 electrics when reprogrammed can put out ten more hp.

not sure on the maping of the cdi i remap them anyways to a better profile that ignition is better than the other if it is remaped and yes i sell the mag setup i have them in stock pm if interested. Brad

I am having difficulty finding the exhaust bells and manifolds to build my triple slp pipes. I have everthing up to the engine side. Need the gasket coupler and exhaust manifold to match. Can anyone steer me with a phone number?

wouldnt they be the same as the 800 twin manifolds?

can i easily modify my rotax 809 carb rack for it to fit? has anyone done it?

They are pretty easy. Did a few conversions a few years back.
-Make plates yourself that tie the carbs together, they need to be wider.
-Jetting, go with larger jets off the bat. (don't remember how much fatter, you are on your own there).
-The throttle throw is shorter than the TM's. You will need to have a flipper that doesn't pull as far or if you have redneck skills, put some kind of stop on the handle bar so you don't streach the cable too far.
These are nice carbs, good for powerjets as some of them came with the Mic powerjet. You can't bore them as large, we only got about 40.5mm out of them. Rock solid design.

If anyone has actually purchased the pipe side flange I would love to know where you got them. No SLP does not sell them. I called them first. The SLP setup is what I would like to use. Thanks ahead of time for any advice from someone that has actually bought them.

Snowjunky, give Curt at Fastrax a call. Tell him that Soldotna rocks. He would be very helpful anyway, but with the Slowdotna comment, you should get a chuckle and maybe some pipe parts. :D

I need a set of lights for the mod. What will my electrical hold? My bro(MBR46) runs trail tech lights and I know some others run PIAA. I have found a pair of PIAA lights. Here are the specs. They are auto lights so this is why I am asking.
PIAA p-1000xt platinum extreme
112v-h3
55 watt

Bob's are
Trail tech MR16
75 watt

Any other recommendations are appreciated. Thanks Dan

Hey Dan, I just checked mine. They are PIAA 1000's and bright as hell, I would venture to say better than stock. Here are some pics, my wiring needs to be cleaned up now that everything works. I am going to incorporate a diode so that low beam is one light and high is both. Right now low is off and high is both. With both lights on and the machine idling, my Ultra Gauge will sometimes turn off. The only reason it bothers me is then the min/max all reset for that session and there were times I was looking forward to reading those when I stopped. Idling up could resolve it too. Other than that, handwarmers are toasty and no problems. There are cheaper lights out there, I've heard of guys buying them at Walmart. I would buy these ones again.

Jim, thanks a ton, that was the post I was looking for. One question, are those custom brackets? I plan on mounting mine in the same area. I got the motor and pipes all mounted up last week. Cooling was a touch different with the v/e perimeter cooling and my 12" x 3.5" stingers(MI 88 decibel noise ordinance at 4,000 rpm, like I am going to make that, lol) but I did some custom bends and routing. It is pretty tight down there. I will probrably keep mine with what you have now so I can shut them off at idle and not loose the digatron readings. Keep me updated with the diode though. THanks Dan

Flatslides

I'm still looking for converted flatslides, anyone have some laying around?
Thanks to Hardass on the lead for getting them built.
Jim

You getting rid of the lectons? I am going with 41 flatslides w/ dial a jets for the trails and keeping the 48 lectrons for hill-x racing.

Did you custom make those brackets for the lights or is that part of the kit?

nah, I'm just trying to get a little more tunability for trail use. I have the lectrons really close but my next step would be a custom needle. I'd keep the lectrons for racing. I think I got over 7 mpg with the Lectrons my last time out but I think regular flatslides could get better. We need all the extended range we can get with gas stations 60 miles apart if you know where your going. Could be 100 miles if you get lost.

Hey Brad, when I install the stator plate using your mag housing and your re-mapped cdi where do I start with the plate? all way left right middle? I know I will time it later just wondering where to start.
