1050 or 1200? have you tried curt at fastrax up in washington??? He took over for union bay. If not check with lynn (4Z on here).

Where exactally are you located in cali???

Sorry, 1200cc. Really, is there any other WC but the 1200! LOL

I tried Curt numerous times last year but he said that there was so much inventory from UBR that he had to go through it all first to figure out what he had and he'd get back to me. I finally gave up calling him in February. In talking to him it seemed as if he'd rather find some then cut me new ones. Don't blame him if he didn't feel comfortable with the new equipment yet to cut new ones or if he was just slammed taking over UBR's operations. I was going to call him this week but figured I'd post here first. Good call on Lynn. I think i need some more super strength pink rope anyway.

I'm live in Walnut Creek.

Should be fun! :D I've seen a few 1500cc Polaris wc-based with Rad-crank for sale .
Claimed 300 hp on 91 octane and 335 hp race set-up and C-14 fuel.
Now add the laughing gas!!!!!!!

now I know why you were trying to get a hold of Joby Davids! hehe
(He buildt the ones I saw for sale)

damn it all, I just got a 1200, now you are telling me that I need to get a 1500, lol. Just let me know if you sell one to Bob first, then I may have to try in a 454, think that will fit in my racer?

So what is the guess on horsepower for my little 1200 wc with mild ported ves cylinders with slp pipes and bored 38 mikunis? Pump gas

depends on who dyno's it. the way we did mine with non ported ves jugs, crank shops, 44mm lectrons, 1150 egt temp, bsfc around .6 @ peak hp and 3-5 back to back 20 second pulls mine made 205hp and 137 ft lbs of torque. Which is in my opinion very impressive. There was a well set up cutler 1515 run on this dyno that only made 265.
edit: just kinda as a disclaimer on my numbers, these things do ROCK! This dyno is so stingy it'd blow your mind. I'm postitive that if I had it stateside I'd see 235 out of it.

are you kidding my motor wont even resemble one piece of psi in it .

lol. Only teasing, I know how much you like the psi-stuff!
I'm sure your's won't be anything like it. Only know Davids did a few of these, using the same crankcase.

Jetting and Clutching this monster

Anybody got any recomendations for where to start jetting and clutching these monsters. I am running stock 800 ves cylinders with stock porting and crankshop pipes. Using 40mm mikuni rack carbs and brads head set at 91 octane. Also running at sea level. Any suggestions appreciated:cool: Pray for snow!!!!

im runnin 38's (narrowed Tcat rack) with the same setup as you at 5-7K feet with 370 mains, 45pilots stock needle and it seems to work really good!

Hey, wasn't there a post or two hinting on one of these 1200's getting turbo-ed? Have we seen any pics? Was I sleeping that day?

pipes

Hey, How's it going? If the slp twins for the 800's are 2 into one silencer, what are you guy's using for the three seperate silencers? or do you use different style slp pipes? Just wondering because im trying to find some used pipes to fit myself but all i can find are the 2 into 1 style. Let me know. Thanks

Just call up SLP and buy some stingers for em. They are louder but its what most of us are doing to fit tripple pipes. Tell them what they are for, how big your ID of the outlet of your pipe is and you can get the "U" bends and everything else you need for em!

Was looking at doing a set of stingers for my proxr 800 I think for two stingers they were like 120.00 to fit their pipes!
