Cooler size ?

Would a 40" U-cooler do the trick on these sleds? Mounted all the way back in the tunnel, no front cooler.

there is no way that is enought cooling if you are going to build that you need to build a double pass to cool it.

Yeah like what brad said, im runnin a 50" one with no front cooler and I need more, plus the snow here in california has alot higher water content and cools better and I still need a bit more.

Thanks Brad.

I've got enough to do 4 passes of about 33"". Gonna try that and see how it works.

Will have to add something else if that does not cut it.

Coolers

I'm in and escape chassis and left all stock coolers in except i removed the rear and put a vburg tunnel cooler in i never see mor than 130 and almost always around 120. that said these things need more power.

I am thinking of switching over to Lectrons, on my 1050. I was goiing to go with 44's with powerjets and was wondering what needle to start with, anyone have any ideas, thanks

Mag housing

The way the mag bolts up to the case is about as rinky dink set up as i've seen, but it does'nt look like theres any other way.

if you use my style of lectrons with power jets 5-2xl for 1-6000 4-2xl for 6-10000

the new housing that i build is 10 times better the the ubr uses 7 bolts and you dont have to machine the case to use it also you can use the snapring in the end of the case and a external seal the the gen2s use.

I used 5-2xl in the 44 Lectrons last year, but changed to 6-2xl this year, for some more tuning range. But I'm at close to sealevel.

1200 that new set up would be great if a guy wanted to get a new case and porting done.Got a set up for every one that did it the other way?

Anyone know what rpm Doug Ruth ported 1200's make power? I'm turning 85 grams 8230 rpm and it's definitely hauling some mail but I think there's more.
Also, I'm running 7-2xl needles and have my powerjets all the way in on two cylinders (mag-center) but it's still hot in the middle. I'm running 1085 wide open and 1140 midrange 1000ft. I think it would get hotter midrange if I held it. Racing tomorrow, any help would be awesome. I'm on my way out to the shop to take 2 grams off. Stop me! lol BTW, this is sea-level. My best today was 109 mph 660ft with trail studs. 66-44.46 helix.

Just putting a set of rack carbs on 40mm Mikunis-
problem= I am now getting fuel in the Pulse line and one cylinder does not seem to be getting up to temp.
i am not sure if i am having a brain fart or what but i already changed the needle/seat and nothing seems to be clogged and has great spark
a little help please? ideas?

fuel pump :)

euge, make sure the fuel pump is located higher than the pulse nipple on the cases. other wise you will get sludge and fuel in the pulse section of the pump and it wont work right. do you have a high volumn pump on there?? you need at least 72 liters per hour pump. also you dont want the pulse line to be any longer than 1 ft and make sure its the black reinforced hose so that the hose doesnt take the pulse...

Yep it is a high volume, worked last 2 years just changed the carbs-engine seems like it is full of fuel, fouling, going to drain/ vaccum it out today and see what happens.

Well made 130 in 660' today. Unfortunately should of backed that timing a little more than I did. Here's a good shot of detonation.
