No BS please guys, just wondering what everyone is getting for fuel mileage and if running any of the chips help out at all fuel wize?? I have an 03' that gets 26+ m/g,and an 06' that gets 20-21 m/g,so 08' or 09' are we looking at 16-17 m/g???

my brother and buddy are both getting 16 to 18 with theres no chip just a afe air in take on both and they are around 10,000 miles each

I've got 8k on mine and am not happy with the mileage mine is pulling:mad: 14-16. I don't drive with a lead foot and it's bone stock...

6.7 Cummins Mileage

Guys

I run a Dodge Store and have driven at least 6 different 6.7s over the past year and a half. Bone stock and driving speed limit I get just under 19. I have a Mega Cab now with 37's and cold air intake and dual exhaust from turbo, it gets just under 15 and has tons of power. I think the cold air intake and exhaust helped a bunch. My friend has Diesel Performance Unlimited and has been putting bigger injectors in the 6.7s and is seeing a 3 mpg increase. That's what I know.

6.7 mpg

Remember

The Cummins won't be broke in for about 80,000 miles and should get better and better mileage with age and more miles.

mileage

my 08 mega with the dpf delete and afe stage 2 cold air intake, egr delete, edge with attitude, and mp8 i honestly get 22-23 highway. i went down south 2 times this fall and got 1050-1000km per tank. Have buddy with same setup as me and gats exactly the same.

Lightning sent you a E-mail will most dealers let the DFP slip in and still over you under warranty???

ttt

i guess it depends on the dealer, everyone knows even chrysler tech support this crap is no good for our engines but are bound by laws to enforce that the crap stays on the trucks, the trucks are so nice without the garbage on them they run so clean, egts are about 250 drgrees lower cruising, mileage is up drastically oil stays clean instead of being black as soon as you turn the key after an oil change and so on. My dealer is cool with it, but i cant say anything about the rest

When new best I ever got was 16 to 17, empty and this was on the over head display, which is usually a little better than when you hand calculate. Yesterday on a trip of 175 miles that allowed me to pretty much set the cruise at 60 for most of the trip the over head said 23. Pickup is bone stock, and now has approx. 15,000 miles on it. Almost afraid to fill it up and hand calculate it.

The 5.9 cummins are getting harder to get ahold of with low miles becuase people found out about the 6.7 mpg and held on to them. I have friends with every make of new diesel pick-up and they all complain about the fuel mileage before they sank thousands into turbos, meth, chips, and exhaust. The EPA has their sticky little fingers on the manufactures and and making it hard for honsest Joe to squeeze a couple hundred hp out of his brand new truck with out the computer tattling on him.

I want to know about this 03 that gets 26+ mpg.

I honestly get 1100km (hiway)to a tank of fuel with the 03' I have, that works out to about 26m/g.I thought that was pretty much the norm for the 03' 5.9L.For those that are mathmatically challenged, that is 1100km= 735miles,and a 128L tank = 28.2gal,so 735/28.2 = 26.06m/gal Canadian. I do all my calculations from fill ups, I use the trip meter for reference only.Thanks.

Can gallon

Ahhh... Can (Canadian) gallon, so, if my cipherin is right, that's about 21.7 mpg (US gallon).

Am amazed at the mpg some people can get out of diesels... I owned two, and never came close to what others were saying. 00 Ford 7.3, and 05 Cummins 5.9... driving 60 mph w/ either, I could maybe get 16-17, but if it was cold, if was a headwind, or if I was driving normal for me :D it'd be in the 14 mpg range.

Pulling sleds and going out west, always dropped to 10-11 mpg.

I'm runnin a 2007.5 Q cab 3500 4x4 with 305-65-17's, 6 auto and 3.73's. Now, I have the DPF H&S delete, Magnaflo 5" out from DPF delete, S&B cold intake and Bullydog programer set on tow. This pickup runnin empty will get 22-24mpg, pullin the XLR toy hauler (15,000lb +) about 10-12mpg. That's Canuck gallon 3.89 liters per not US at 3.78 liters. Egt's at 130K are 800F empty, up to 1000F pullin a good grade with the hauler but still doin 130 :D

Mpg

I have an 2007.5 6.7L 2500 6spd manual all stock gets 13-15 empty around town.
About 11 pulling a 4 horse Sundowner gooseneck on the freeway.
About 18 empty on the freeway.
Great power, mileage can suck somtimes, but still better than the old F250 w/ 460! Can't wait to get DPF delete and Edge.

I have an 03 and on the highway I get 26 mpg, Given cruise control is on at 60 and I'm not climbing any hills. But maybe I'm crazy.
