Idaho Slim invited me today too! Should have gone! I can handle a bad day of fishing, but hearing the sleds play in the background hurt!

:pwhat the he!! is wrong with you - pretty sure that was us you could hear in the background...bbbbbbbbbwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahahahah

Maybe next time maybe you'll come with us:rolleyes:

So I promised a buddy a while back I would go ice fishing with him today. We went up to Palisades Reservoir, ID. I borrowed my bro in laws gas auger and ice tent so that made it somewhat bearable. Well we get down to the ice and it has 8-10 inches of sloppy wet slush on top. That was fun....NOT Well we looked like clowns trying to get the easy pop up tent set up. My bro in law didn't zip the door up when he put it away so it tangled when it popped creating havic!

Well we get the tent up and get my little heater going too...pretty cold out. So that slush thing was pretty weird. Anyway 1 then 2 then 3 hours go by....not one bite and the whole time I am hearing sleds playing in the background....I assumed up around Poker's Peak. Which is one of my playgrounds....by that 3rd hour I really wished I was sledding. Idaho Slim invited me today too! Should have gone! I'm gonna go to my room now to sulk some more!

Just sit on the snogo or sled.
Go out when there is water on the river.
If nothing is biting go to another hole or go hunt ptarmigans.:D
Even go out in -20 to -40f weather.:beer;

uuugggghhhh Mountain powder your not alone! I too wassuposed to be be ridin will Slim today. however, i was kept home due to a broken bumper support :(

hmm...at least I wasn't stuck in cold slush listening to braapping in the background all day  :D

dont worry though, I did somehow get pulled in to watching Twighlight during my sledding absence.....our sufferning might be comparable

Cool meadow shot

Slim, that pic of Sojo in the meadow turned out great!
Nice timing for rider and camera dude.

Rode McCoy

Rode McCoy creek yesterday, the snow was great. We rode across the lake from Alpine, and I have to tell ya that the foot of slush made the pucker factor high.

You got pulled into watching Twilight because you wanted some action. I know how that deal works although I hate to admit it. :D

Idaho Slim. Looks like the only downer of that day is the broken track. How far were you in?

Big downer for the kid:( Its still there I think, unless they get a "Sled Buddy" and haul it out. Way back in, they might have to change it on the mountain. But the important thing is he did not get hurt, just blew the wind out of him.

oooh--way to rub the salt in a fresh wound there slim. I'll bet m-p-s is starting to rub his "nub" while thinking of an evil way to pay you back....:D

Yes I am rubbing the nub right now...and I am outsides Slim's house right now! Nice pow you punk! Did you go up to Red Butte? Good thing you took my advice and didn't go to Kilgore....I think the last storm hit east. Since you don't sled on the weekdays and won't take a day off lets go Valentines Day. Then I will let you and the nub get intimate for a moment...since you bug me all the time about it. It will kind of be like that South Park episode where Cartman's hand is Jennifer Lopez! hahahaha

Glad the guy with the broken track was ok...I don't think I ever want to experience that.

Yes snojo I am a complete idiot! Thats why I started this thread because I needed to started eating Prozac while I was sitting there listening to YOU! But, sometimes you have to sacrifice and do the right thing. Did you go to Pokers? How was the snow there? You must have had some decent snow because off all the damn slush I was wading in!

MPS:

You should have come up when we were in I.P

We took one day off to nrse our hangovers and went Icefishing next to the Lakeside.

40 degree day, no wind at all, caught a dozen rainbows from 10am-2pm. Went inside Lakeside to get a couple of Whiskey cokes, and stumbled back outside and kept fishing..... I sunburned the heck out of my face that day, didn't realize it until later that evening sitting in the cabin it felt like someone poured a gallon of gas on my face and lit it up.......

Caught Rainbows from 6" to 19"...........

Sheesh, I drive 1,200 miles and I have better luck than you ice fishing!

That will teach you....Next time bring the sleds.... fish in the norning when the fish are bit'in and sled in the afternoon when fishin gets slow. Heck if you parking at the damn you can do both and never have to get in your car except to go home. LOL

Yesterday was a pretty day for ice fishin.
