Conquer 280?

Anyone else that thinks the durability is abit lacking on the 280?
My lugs starts to crack at the bottom. And especially from the middle of the track and outwards.

Im maybe down to 70-75% effiency of the track when it comes to missing lugs :/

I do not like the sounds of this... How many miles?

600 miles. The track is comming off and im replacing it with something else. Got hold of a X3.2 for the right price so im gonna give it a try.

Friend of mine is running a X3 and it looks like new after 3 seasons. Hope the X3.2 is as durable.

I pulled the Conquer off my sled (didn't work in deep snow) and put on the X3. I have had the X3 on my last couple of sleds. They work and there tough. Might try the 3.2 next season

My conquer 280 track has been on since the sled was new. I have now 500miles on it, and no missing lugs. And i go over and through alot of trees, stumps and rocks each time i ride.

I have about 5-600 miles on mine and as of two days ago had no damage to track at all. I have ran over many standing and fallen trees and a few rocks. We are in island park now I will check it out agAin when we are done riding. As for its performance I'm not blown away by it. Its a track and it works but I don't think it was worth the 1100 I spent between drivers, track, and anti stab

We have done extensive testing and the 280 is just as good as the X3 and the 3.2. if the snow is 3 feet of champange powder the X3 and 3.2 have an edge. other than that its a wash. all tracks are 174 lenghts and on several Axys sleds and several Pro sleds. The one bad thing about the 2.8 is that it doesnt brake as well as the other track. some sleds were stock, some were boosted.

Also, if there is any set up snow, the 2.8 hooks up much better than the X3 or 3.2.

Well I ordered my 2.8 yesterday and will be able to give my opinion soon. Just reading that it does not break well sucks as I like my downhill breaking but I guess I'll just adjust to it.

So let me try and figure out what your saying. If the snow is deep you want a X3 or 3.2. If you want to stop coming down hill you want a x3 or 3.2. If you want traction on the trail get a 280... Let me sum it up. If you ride where its steep and deep get a X3 or 3.2. If your riding flatter more setup snow get a 280.... I agree, had both in 174 lengths. The X3 won out for the type of riding I do. Base your decision on what type of riding you like to do. Bare one thing in mind if you get a 280. Its a trencher in the deep stuff. Spring sledding is around the corner, and IMO the Conquer will be a great spring track.

Whats weird is that I have now heard a couple say how bad it trenches and also have heard many say how well it gets up on snow and does NOT trench like other tracks.

I am guessing location/snow type makes a difference.

I would also like to believe Burandt does ride Steep and Deep and seams to love it. Would think if it was a bad trencher he would remove it and run something else?

He did remove it was posted in another thread by tdbaugh? And I also believe Curtis removed it from his backcountry sled also. There's more negative than positive reviews with that track

With the snow were having in south central Alaska now any track will work. lol

I ran one for the first few hundred miles this season on my 17 162 Axys. The poor downhill braking was immediately evident as was the awesome hookup on tracked snow. One time l tried to reverse on the groomed trail, there was a slight incline, and it just spun.

The nail in the coffin was riding a friends stocker on a deep day and feeling the better acceleration in the pow. It wasn't that the Conquer was horrible it just didn't propel forward as good as the series 7. Possibly thinning the ribs on the back of the lugs would help them lay over a bit so it's less of a chisler.

I wasn't looking for a great hero snow track. Put it up for sale and the first question everyone asked 'why you selling it?'.

Why don't you pm the guy who posted it. Remember burandt is sponsored by camso so he's not going tell people it didn't work for him. It was put on his sled for weight reasons.

Will just ask Chris but yes, there is that issue...

Chad here at A2D switched out his X3 for the 2.8 had has said it is much better. I guess I will just have to wait and see...

Man there is a lot of bad info on this sled forum. Regardless of what these other guys say it is a fantastic track. Very rarely will you have the perfect 3-4 feet of champagne powder. i ride lots in B.C., with deep snow. I ride Revy, Blue River, and Valemount and they get a lot of snow. There has only been a few times where the X3 or the 3.2 were slightly better. The 2.8 does not trench.... And when i meant that i grabs better on set up snow, it didnt mean the trail. You will be very happy with the track. It is night and day better than stock.
