Clothing: R.U.Outside vs. Klim

Going to be buying a new jacket and bibs/pants soon. I ride mainly in WI & the UP and am looking for waterproof, breathable gear. Also replacing my 15 yr. old Sorels. What works best for the $$$?

All I can say is I really like my Bill Townsend boots and my wife wife really like he RUO gloves and underlayer clothing from. They have had great service as well. Klim has a impeccable reputation as well. doubt you could go wrong either way

I personally like all of my klim gear.. however the only RUO gear I have used is there gloves and they are a nice product.. I have personally never dealt with them.. but klim is usually very good at customer satisfaction.. like sako said.. either one whould be a good choice

You can't go wrong with either. I wear RUO base layer and boots and Klim outerwear, always warm & dry.

As mentioned above, both have great products and both have great customer service. Rick at RU Outside is one of the greatest guys you will ever meet.

I hate to badmouth any supplier but,after several years and many different items purchased from RUO (which all performed better than expected) Their handling of a complaint regarding a pair of boots purchased from them leaves me no choice but to reccommend other suppliers. I replaced them with a pair of Klim adrenalins' from Steve's Saw Service in Lolo Mt.
P.S. Klim has always honored their warranty with no if's and's or especially but's

Never had a problem with Klim even when it's 4 yrs old. Heard RUO had internal shuffle and may have improved customer service???

Hadn't improved as of two weeks ago.(RUO) You are right about Klim warranty on older gear. No hassel just Xchange!

KLIM.........their boots are the better, more support that RUO their outer wear is tough to beat. Don't get me wrong RUO makes a good product. My opinion is preference.
