Chris Burandts Take on Production Pro RMK's

Just got off the phone with Burandt! He took advantage of the early snow in Colorado and ripped one of the Production model Pro RMK 800’s.

His words to me were, "It's crazy how these production sleds pull even harder than the protos I had last year. I can't believe how rippy the throttle response is!"

We chatted a while about his ride on Tuesday and it definitely sounds like it's Polaris's turn on top. Let it snow baby!

Just thought I’d post up some firsthand experience with the production sleds since most of us have another month before we can even think about riding.

That guy better take the healing process to heart...

Or we'll be calling it Skinners Backcountry adventures this year!! LOL

That high side hill pic is wicked! Looks like a lot to loose if you screw up!

For those peeps in Colorado, Chris will be at our club kickoff party on Nov. 5th. Check it out HERE if you are interested.

Is that NOT the same sled Chris rode last spring for 208 production's Momentum film? lol.

Nope, 2011 Production sled with the same kit on it. The pre-production sleds from last winter were picked up by Polaris for evaluation if I remember right.

Edit: To be fair I talked with Chris and he DOES still have the sleds from last season. He liked the wrap so switched plastic to his new sled.

I would assume he said the same things about his stock turbocharged Cat, yes. I'm not knockin' the guy, since I would do the same. Maybe it really is though, and wouldn't that be great for us. I got a fever and there's only one cure... more cowbell!! LET'S RIDE!!

Agreed, spectacular rider, but nothing more than a PAID mouthpiece! You can't take what any paid rider has to say about a product as useful info, the very fact that they are paid negates their opinion in my mind. But, I must be the minority, why else would EVERY motor sport manufacturer have a paid mouthpiece? :face-icon-small-ton

Sure, a better financial arrangement affects his "stage presentation"

BUT... Know this.....

Chris knew what was in the works with Polaris before he made the switch to Polaris... AND that he'd have input into the R&D developing this new chassis platform.

This new evolution of a sled will give him the ability to ride at a high level, in control with less effort. He would not have made the switch if the PRO chassis was not able to deliver.

As other brands release their new chassis in the coming years, probably next season, we will see how the industry evolves... It is a good thing guys :D

I have spent a lot of seat time on this new chassis and I can tell you that it is a definate game winner.

Even though I will not be on the new chassis for financial reasons this season, I can tell you that I will be "mooching" a demo wherever I can.

My 2 cents.... But then again this has been covered in every "Burandt thread" since he Partnered with Polaris.

Ride hard and enjoy whatever you have!!! Pray for snow

I'm not saying the pro-ride won't be a good sled(that is yet to be determined), I'm just saying he is a PAID spokesperson, and as such what he says about the pro-ride carries no weight for me at all. That applies to all paid spokespersons.

I have heard him speak several times about the pro-ride, he is an exceptional rider, but I don't find him to be a good spokesperson(for AC or POO), I don't find him genuine(just bought and paid for). Admittedly just my perception.

There is a very very serious difference between being paid to rep a product and actually making your living working on the back of that product. To mistake the two simply handicaps you as a consumer! Chris doesn't make his living with his Polaris deal and the net of it is almost negligable in the entire scope of things.

He makes his daily living riding a snowmobile and showing consumers how awesome that sled is...plain and simple. It's a tool of his trade and if it isn't up to snuff then he fails. By the response of the massive amount of Burandt Backcountry Adventure customers that I've dealt with directly he is not failing and neither are his tools.

Also having indepth product knowledge and experience with these said tools I reinforce his sentiments. NOW PAY UP POLARIS! brap brap
