Chris Burandts Take on Production Pro RMK's

There is a very very serious difference between being paid to rep a product and actually making your living working on the back of that product. To mistake the two simply handicaps you as a consumer! Chris doesn't make his living with his Polaris deal and the net of it is almost negligable in the entire scope of things.

He makes his daily living riding a snowmobile and showing consumers how awesome that sled is...plain and simple. It's a tool of his trade and if it isn't up to snuff then he fails. By the response of the massive amount of Burandt Backcountry Adventure customers that I've dealt with directly he is not failing and neither are his tools.

Also having indepth product knowledge and experience with these said tools I reinforce his sentiments. NOW PAY UP POLARIS! brap brap

Well said Rob!

Sure, a better financial arrangement affects his "stage presentation"

BUT... Know this.....

Chris knew what was in the works with Polaris before he made the switch to Polaris... AND that he'd have input into the R&D developing this new chassis platform.

This new evolution of a sled will give him the ability to ride at a high level, in control with less effort. He would not have made the switch if the PRO chassis was not able to deliver.

As other brands release their new chassis in the coming years, probably next season, we will see how the industry evolves... It is a good thing guys :D

I have spent a lot of seat time on this new chassis and I can tell you that it is a definate game winner.

Even though I will not be on the new chassis for financial reasons this season, I can tell you that I will be "mooching" a demo wherever I can.

My 2 cents.... But then again this has been covered in every "Burandt thread" since he Partnered with Polaris.

Ride hard and enjoy whatever you have!!! Pray for snow
:focus:

I disagree. Supposedly this sled was in the works long before Chris signed on with Polaris. It would have been in its final stages when Chris signed on, giving him only minimal input on the final product. Additionally, I believe he made purely a business decision in moving to Polaris. It's his career! He chose a change because it benefited his career and his personal needs. The Pro chassis had nothing to do with the decision. My opinion of course.

I agree with some of this. This Pro has been in the works long before Burandt was brought into it... he might have had some influence in final minor tweaks but not in the overall development of the sled. years go into R&D. And yea its his career and it was probably a smart business choice... but when you get down to it he's a snowmobile enthusist like all of us, if he new something sweet was coming I have to think that would have played a roll in the decision! It would have for me... my .02

Burant is very transparent marketeer, has a business to run, and is one heck of a rider. Don't expect him to dis AC, he knows what goes around, comes around. If AC was going to dis him, they'd have done it already. Put little stock into his words, enjoy watching him ride. Carry on...

Imagine if Yammy bought him(for twice the money, of course) and he started bragging about how flickable the sled was. Would you believe him?

all you got to do is watch the bonus section of schooled again at he explains why he switched. he switched because he believes the pro is the best mountian purpose sled, because he would have more input into marketing and r&d

I've put a few miles on my new Pro-Assault this season, I don't care what Burandt says or who he is associated with, this thing rips! Throttle response is great, motor pulls hard, and the way it handles is great! That being said, I don't care what Polaris is paying Burandt, what he says is spot on...

you should care what polaris is paying him... some of his paycheck was built into the cost of your new sled

A good rider brings good feedback in turn you get a good sled. No different then a team that wins races, you need good feedback from the driver/rider to make changes for the better.
Later, Cam-shaft.

you guys actually think that Burrants pay is directly coralated to the new sled? Wow you are a dumbarse! why dont you think about all the enginers that put in all the time to make the sled or how about dan adams or pual thacker im mean seriously GROW UP. Yes Burrant is an out ragous rider! FYI the 2011 sled only gaind 700$ on the price tag for all that they did to the sled versus what skidont did and they put over $1000 added to their price tag wtf a new motor?

Pretty sure Burandt being involved didn't make the price go up at all....some peoples kids just have a bon@r for Burandt.

I dig Chris..........love watching him ride........and cheers to being on a Polaris..........they have a hot new sled. The part that I think is weird.......or funny.......or both.........is that he won't even say the name anymore. When he and Bret Rasmussen were giving there seminar at the Utah show........Bret would talk about mountain sleds and he would say, "The Arctic Cat and Polaris Pro Ride are really adapted well to the mountain style of ridding". He would actually address each sled by their respected company names.

When Chris goes to talk about Arctic Cat now he says, "that other brand" or "that other sled". Which is fine........but seems a little bit disrespectful seeing that he had many good years with Arctic Cat and was die-hard for them. Shoot.......even Bret is so humble as to admit that they are both a good sled and he calls them both by their company name. I know that for Chris.......he is just trying to be a good spokes-person for Polaris by not mentioning AC by name..........but it really looks like snubbing from the outside lookin in. That is really the only thing that I see that kinda twists my guts........just doesn't seem right ya know? Anywho.......

I love my 2010 M8........and I loved the Rev I had before that.....and the Polaris........well I am anxious to swing a leg over one of those as well when I get a chance. The products these sled companies are producing for us for mountain use have come a heck of a long way in the last 10 years.......heck.........even the last 5 years for that matter!!! Sorry just had to chime in about the one thing that bugged me.........otherwise I really wish Chris the best and I hope that everyone has a safe and fun winter ahead!!

Let It Snow!

Dave
