I would definitely rather pay out of pocket than to be someone’s puppet or minion . Some guys are good at it though and are perfect for the job ,

That would imply he had credibility to begin with. Its a dude getting free sleds every year, I don't think he or anyone else tried to pretend he was gonna say something other than what he was told to say.
@Catguy up there you are dumb if you don't think I'd tell everyone how great whatever brand of sled I ride is if I was given a couple sleds for free each year.
You don’t need to spend any money your choosing to spend money for a problem you didn’t have but you might have.
Sit back for the summer/fall see what BRP comes up with.

Unfortunately, spending a little money upfront for Piece of mind, will also save money and time by avoiding a failure. It’s good predictive maintenance.
I’m pretty sure I know why doo went to the two piece shaft now, it has nothing to do with warranty. Excellent idea for race sleds tho.

Some guys are lucky enough to ride the mountains and never get a heli ride out . But actually being in a spot that the heli can’t get too with a down sled isn’t a very nice day especially when you’re also 6.5 hours away from home . This is why I did the solid shaft and hyvo gears and chain.
Just got confirmation, all European made 2024 Turbo R sleds (both Lynx&Doo) will have Borg Warner Hyvo chains and sprockets. I suspect thats the case also sleds made in Northern America too.
I got a similar call back in February was told parts were back ordered until April. My sled still has the same chain and gears. It’s getting turned pretty soon anyways. ?

This is good news. Lucky for a lot of us we haven't had a failure yet. Very disappointed in the way the ski doo ambassador that is all over all the forums behaved about this issue telling anyone that disagreed with him they were the problem. Guy is very unprofessional.
Have you got a number for it? Would like to get my 23 updated.

No not yet, my dealer was telling me they are trying to figure out if its pieced together, or the hyvo comes in a complete kit with one part number. That was last week tho.

Lower HYVO sprocket is also updated, there is no holes on the sprocket anymore. Should be even stronger than those 2020-2022 turbo sprockets. And NEVER heard failures on 20-22 turbos.
