Camoplast Tracks: 2.5" Peak vs. 2.6" Power Claw vs. 3" Challenger Extreme

And from what I heard, the new Center Punched track will not be warrantied by Camoplast...

where did you hear that? Camoplast is manufacturing it and delivering it to the customer with the center punches .... i highly doubt that they'll not cover a product they made.

I was told that Carl's special ordered it from Camoplast and that it wouldn't be warrantied if there was a problem with it. Could be wrong, haven't specifically asked Carl's or Camoplast

This was from Michelle at Oregon Trail Sports... I think she was talking with someone at Carl's

is this a poo thread? just asking cuz everything im reading sounds poo.im not being sarcastic I only ask because I have a proclimb and am interested in the x3.can anyone tell me everything I need to do the mod? I have a 2012 m800 153.any help appreciated.

I'm sure you could do it on your sled too, I would talk to Robbie at Avid and find out what drivers you would need...

not positive but recall the stock drivers do work for the 3 inch on a Cat. Call Robbie on that one.

Well, not wanting to spread misinformation, I called Carl's today, talked to Nate, he asked his supervisor, and was told they will warranty them. I would still want to see it in writing, but that's what I was told...

About $1,600 with the drivers

So alot of hype comes with x3 3" and I just want to add my .02.
I rode a stock Pro 163 last year and spent two days in Mccall trying to follow a bone stock Pro 13 with the x3 162 and its all true. I thought I was being lied to, I was convinced it was a big bore. I didnt believe it the whole first day that there could be that big of difference. I mean, I couldnt even poach and get there. There is no comparison, it is a game changer. Ive never been more sold on anything. Ive been thinking about it every day since that day in March. This will go down as mod of the year you can bet on that.
And another thing, it had bone stock clutching!

I'm thinking with the added load on the motor, it could find even more benefit from a clutch tune...

Funny concept this 3 inch. Which loads the motor and pulls down track speed. A 2.5 inch trenching on a climb or the 3 inch which rides at the surface....,,This is why I am getting 55 +mph track speed on a climb with the 156. ever been in deep snow with flipper pinned trenching 3 feet down with sled just crawling. theres over 150 hp used up just churning in its own trench... bring it to the surface and,,Hmmm

What elevation are you at? I'm just curious because 55mph track speeds up here at 10-12k' would be pretty darn impressive. I just picked up an x3 in the 162, anxious to see how it does stock. Hoping it saves my wallet and keeps me from picking up a turbo, but a turbo x3 would be sweet by the sounds of it!

7500-10K ft. with full mod 880.

I suppose that might play into track speed a little! I was thinking stocker track speed I guess. That 880 must rip! What were you seeing for track speeds in similar conditions with different tracks?

hard to really get a handle on. Once the 3 inch gets going it frees up track speed, like a boat at the point it starts to plane, the drag is reduced and speed increases as it gets to the top, guess depends on snow conditions. Obviously the 2.5 was faster on set snow, hell a 121 will kill all of us on set snow! and the deeper she gets the 3 inch keeps excelling over the 2.5. you surly dont feel that the track is slow and ground speed is much faster,.everyone who has installed it has said best mod ever. I did hear one complaint from a Cat who must not have altered the DD gearing.

I put in XF gearing to get more trackspeed out of a CPC 1 Ltr. Was running a 2.5 and absolutely love that track. I got a 3" sitting on the floor waiting to get installed. Can't wait to see how she performs after what everyone says about the 3".
