Camoplast Tracks: 2.5" Peak vs. 2.6" Power Claw vs. 3" Challenger Extreme

I was pretty impressed with my peak 2.5 I prefer it over the 2.5 CE. I have always wanted a 3" and have said the only track to replace my 2.5 will be a 3"

New 3" rules. Hands down

Yep , Heres some deep thoughts for ewe skeptics. Which has the fastest track speed on a powder climb,,,
1) 2.5 inch track stock sled with 154 track digging down 18 inches
2] 3 inch 156 :face-icon-small-distrack stock sled riding on top the snow
Hmm

cpa - were you running the 2.6pc the way your supposed to or backwards?

Thanx for all the input and I will be checking closer to see if I can truly fit the 3" without too much modification.

As for the ce2.5, I've got one on my other sled and like it just fine but would rather try a peak if I stay at that lug heighth or a 3 inch in that pattern.

I haven't tried a 3" track but, I bet it would be awesome!

However, I did upgrade to a 2.6" Powerclaw on my M8 and it damn near broke my wrists several times from coming back over on my while climbing. I had to adjust the suspension so it doesn't transfer quite so much to keep the nose down while climbing. The 2.6" is MUCH more impressive than the 2.25" Powerclaw. I am very happy and impressed with the track and it makes my sled feel like a poor man's turbo as well but, maybe not quite to the degree of the 3"?

With all the feedback and testimonials on here......why you buy anything other than a 3" track? The length is up to you, but lug height is a no brainer.

Even if I bought a new xm today....the very first thing I would do is put a 3" under it......its just that dang gone much better.....and of course, the 872.

Ran the X3 on my stock stock engine Pro last year. 163. Single best thing I ever did to a sled. Roosterbuilt clutch kit with dual angle helix. That was the best clutched sled I ever rode. The 3" seems to even handle better, holds a sidehill better. It even works better than the stock track on hard pack. 3 thumbs up! The X3 is a single ply lighter weight track that doesn't require big power but will stand up too and work excellent on a turbo sled too.

my only thought is cost .... a 3" track at retail plus drivers is around $1,500!

im putting one on my 600 turbo this year and my dads stock 800 155". our riding buddy will most likely be on a bone stock 12 pro so we'll have some good side by side comparisons

Got a little brown box from him today actually :)

Lol!

we rode 2.5 and a 2.6 straight up the hill till they both buried. then rode the 3 inch up and stopped where top sled was buried , hooked a rope to the stuck sleds bumper and another rope to the sled below and took off pulling both sleds straight over the top.:face-icon-small-hap,,,, next time well try to pull four sleds over the top ,Lol

:pop2:

Could not find a Super man with cape.

I have a 12 pc m800 153.if I go with the 3", what will I need to do as far as clutching?

simply dropping to 7 tooths gives over 7% reduction. In many cases that works for many . ride her and see how she performs.I run even lower however a different sled.

Not if you know where to shop!! The X3 156x15x3 is $919.00 on sledtrack.com
Great deals on ALL tracks from this place ;)

Is this the center punched track? Carl's is charging $1350 for the track, $270 for the drivers and $75 for the chaincase mod.
