BWear vs. TekVest

Thread Rating
5.00 star(s)
I've rode with both as well as the old phoenix lite which was 2nd on my list. But I think all they make anymore is rodeo gear. Anyway the B-Wear is the one that I like best for the adjust ability and it's more flexible like previously mentioned. Now if I was back to racing then I'd go with the TekVest for the protective plastic plates.

yeap, their rodeo gear is great; saved my @ss a few times. I knew they sold sled armor but never heard of anyone that's actually used it (or even heard of it).

I kinda wish they'd get into the sled armor again... i really like my rodeo vest and would like to see what they'd come up with for snowmobiles.

B-Wear

B- Wear here all the way, but talking with Rob at the Boise Show sounds like B-Wear may be out of business. :(

I didn't feel like spending $200-300+ on a vest so I went with the sixsixone core saver for this season. Tried it on and it's very comfortable. Got it online for $118 shipped.

No More BWear

Now that I have finially decided to go with BWear - they are no more!!
Just talk with rob of FBomb and they have no more nor will they have. He is thinks that they no longer are being made.
Anyone have qa Large for sale?!?!

Bwear is going strong. If F-bomb is tell you they not that is his thing.

One thing I look at with tekvest and bwear was the price. with
bwear you get the shoulder pads in the price
the bwear $ 235.00
the tekvest start at ? $299.99
plus shoulder pads

the other is what I reading on Snowest

For full snowest clarification:

I told those that have called and asked that my design, marketing, and distributorship contract with BWEAR has ended (per their supply default and as timed out by contract of April 2008) and I no longer have any relationship with them in any way shape or form. I also stated to those that call or write that I have not heard from Nancy LaFrance who represented herself to me as the owner of BWEAR and the contact person that I worked with for years. They have not attended any of the shows that we have been at and I have no knowledge of them even being in business.
My company name and phone number is being promoted as the US distributor in American Snowmobiler without my knowledge or approval. Once again, Rob Heeb or the company Factory Race Support is no longer in any way shape or form affiliated with BWEAR vests...Nala Design...DL Performance or any other entity who has represented themselves as associated with the manufacture of the BWEAR Protective Gear.

:confused:bought my klim tekvest for 199$ and love it keeps me warm with just a light shell and saved my a$$ already once:)

Well, hate to highjack the thread, but im lookin for a vest this year too. I need to ride with some back support, and thought instead of buying a backsupport id just buy a protective vest.

I read that the tek/klim vests give some back support, is it true?

So who wants to sell me a Klim Tek Vest with shoulder pads or a Trail Pro Tek Vest. I also would be interested in a Castle X Impact Jacket. Not sure which one yet.

PM me with pricing. I am buying something this week. I am about 5'11" and 225 on the scale straight off the sheiter in the morning. I am guessing an XL for a Tek Vest and maybe an Xl for the Impact Jacket.

This what I'm planning on picking up for this season, Icon Field Armor vest:

For only $100 and I can double up and use it in the summer on my street bike. Tried it on at the shop and back support is great which is my biggest concern. Little lacking in the front/shoulder, but I'm mostly concerned about those rad flips I do off my sled where I land on my back.

One I pick one up I'll post up some feedback on whether it works for me. Sorry for adding to the highjack..:beer;

Yeah the core saver is warm, light, and very comfortable to wear... And I broke a couple ribs while wearing mine last season....
 So I guess there's that to think about...

Will someone make a fricken vest that offers some rib protection already or a damn tall size!
