Went out yesterday with eight 2013's and myself. Put on 25 miles and not a single issue. Picture to show this actually happened... lol

My 13 got 25 miles on it this weekend and shaft looks good:) Now let's hope it can get another 5k on it and I can say the same POLARIS!!!!!!!

A high impact part glued together . If it were mine id change to a 2012 axle, Just matter of time and youll be towed out

OK ,I get a BAD response back from someone, This must be because your living in the dark, You will eventually have an issue, and Poo needs to address this, Its unacceptable and just because you put your $$ down dosnt change reality.A failing glued together Axle is Not Acceptable and the 2012 axle should fix her. Has Poo lost their mind trying to shave a few pounds and givin up a reliable component?

The 12 shaft, according to my sources, will not mount in the 13...

We should have a fix for this issue finalized this week.

The new white panels look awesome...sweet sled. I bought the black but wish I had snowchecked white.

My driveshaft works fine too.

you damn right that white looks good! i love white toys. reminds me of a comment one of my buddies made in cooke city last year..... "i like my women like i like my underwear.....white and tight!"

mountainhorse has a photo of a 12 shaft in a 13 with belt drive in another thread. and vertical asshauler said he measured them and it will fit. anyone else want to chime in? anyone had them both side by side?

I dont know why people are even asking about the 12 shaft. This is a problem that Polaris should fix at no charge if it really is a problem.

Something tells me that Polaris is going to be running out of '12 drive shafts pretty quick if they actually fit in the '13's.

Wait for aftermarket fix as it may be way less expensive

I get the feeling a bandaid fix will be Poo,s answer. I would look at a replacement if possible. See what Kelsey comes up with.sleds are Very finicky and the drive axle is one part that an owner shouldn't need to even worry about,

Kelsey,

First off... keep up the good work on helping us with our sleds!
If these are going to be a problem.. it will good for the consumer to have some relief with this.

Here is a photo of the 2011/12 drive shaft installed into a 2013 chassis with the Quickdrive system. Notice the new running board tabs on the tunnel that show it as a 2013 chassis.

This was the traveling Polaris Show chassis that you would/will see at any of the factory Polaris west coast Snow Show venues. These were built with the 2012 shafts because of limited availability of the new shafts during pre production when these "show" chassis were built.

In a direct conversation between me and one of the RMK engineering team leaders, I confirmed that this was indeed a "bolt in" drive shaft.

The question stemmed from me askin if a QuickDrive could be installed into a 2011/12 sled and what would be required and what could be reused.
