Big Pharma

What if you were told that you had a 95% chance of beating the cancer that is in your body now, and a 90% chance that it would never come back again by doing chemo/radiation -

but isn't the above the same as a person saying they have the London Bridge for sale..??

Its a question of what you believe in and if I truly believed in mainstream then my strength would as well come from my optimism, but if I believed in the non mainstream cures I am certain my strength of my optimism is just as strong as a positive towards a possible successful conclusion.

I would think that in many parts of the remote world where that the people have ZERO access to any modern day medicine that thousands and thousands(perhaps millions) over many centuries are and have been cured every day by traditional home remedies.

I have a brother that works for an International drug company that specializes in drugs that treat cancer and the effects of cancer.

He is in the FDA approval area. You cannot possibly believe how expensive it is to bring a new drug to market, all the years of trials, toxisity testing, interaction testing. Then you bring the drug to market and only have a specific time period to try and get your money back and make a profit before the time runs out on your patent. If the FDA does not clear your drug, guess what you lose tens of millions of dollars.

The treatments are becoming so specialized down to a DNA cellular level. The treatment that is right for you, is probably not right for another guy with the same cancer. They look genetically now and formulate a therapy cocktail based on what they find out about your specific gene make up.....

Dont think for a minute companies are not working on cures. If there is some sort of shot, it will not be a one sized fits all type of situation, as there are 100's of types of cancers.

Just trying to supply a small bit of perspective here...........

Exactly! The expenses are unreal in testing and researching for new medicines.

Are you really trying to make the assumption that research and development for a motorized vehicle is equivalent to that of a drug? I hope your joking :face-icon-small-ton

its all relative...it doesn't have to be equivalent to have the same end high cost because the sled industry has fewer end users to pay for the investment so a higher end price should be charged...yet it is considered reasonable

the pharma has millions and millions of end users purchasing their higher investment research product yet still high retail costs that end users often cannot purchase and die...

bottom line is that Big Pharma and Cancer is the same illness sickening society..

Ok, if they are charging such crazy high fees and are making so much money why don't you start a drug research company and hire a bunch of researchers to create new drug therapies. And since you wont pay yourself a huge salary and wont make your company millions then your company should be very successful. Clearly you know how to run a research company better than anyone else in the world, so why haven't you done it yet?

nope...hahaha...the guy from USA is Big Pharma....
So that only leaves ya one other option...lol..

All in good fun polaris dude...

Let them know that their sleds are created based on the same research and development standards that medicines are, long term effects and all! :face-icon-small-win

and you let the thousands and thousands of woman that took that fertility drug that gave them deformed babies know that big pharma's research is never wrong...oh yea and that acne pill that will likely give a certain percentage of this decades teenagers cancer within 8 years...oh and the skin cancer from lotions..oh yea the mercury tooth fillings...oh yea the list is endless of the failures of big pharma's research....

The deformities CAUSED by their products into the market based on their research is criminal ...they sell snake oil just like any salesman..

I wish I had the patience to explain to you how many thousands of drugs are out there that work flawlessly and how difficult it is to insure that every drug works exactly how it is designed. But not many people here seem interested in having an intellectual discussion so I guess I will stick to stupid one liners.

This one is pretty good too
A young man goes into a drugstore to buy condoms. The pharmacist says the condoms come in packs of 3, 9 or 12 and asks which the young man wants.

"Well," he said, "I've been seeing this girl for a while and she's really hot. I want the condoms because I think tonight's "the" night. We're having dinner with her parents, and then we're going out. And I've got a feeling I'm gonna get lucky after that. Once she's had me, she'll want me all the time, so you'd better give me the 12 pack." The young man makes his purchase and leaves.

Later that evening, he sits down to dinner with his girlfriend and her parents. He asks if he might give the blessing, and they agree. He begins the prayer, but continues praying for several minutes. The girl leans over and says, "You never told me that you were such a religious person." He leans over to her and whispers, "You never told me that your father is a pharmacist."
