Still workin on that dam camera!!

Kris...When I ordered the parts my dealer told me that were back ordered but only for 3 days. I had the sled with me on the sledbed and they let me use the tailset from one that was not yet assembled to see how it was going to look (we just held it on). They said the back ordered parts were due in today and would ship tomorrow for delivery on Thursday.

Krus...The method I used is probably not the recommended way but it worked. You see, I am not a man of great patience :D and when the vice wasn't working to my liking...I grabbed a piece of 2x8 scrap and placed a piece of wood under and on top. I then proceeded to go to town with a sledge until it was the desired level of perfect flatness. Again, probably not the preferred method but it worked...it was fast...and I got to take out some aggression in the process.

here are some pics of my bummper from van amberg

Nice to see some better pictures than the ones on their web site. This is the one I will be doing also. How thick is the outer piece with the holes in it. Does it have a lip where it meets up to the front part of the tunnle?

the outer piece is not the tunnel it is part of the bummper. The tunnel is the stock tunnel cut off to the taper of the bummper. the install was pretty easy. Alot of revit removal and reriviting. the reason for the one hole is because the stock tunnel has a hole there. Rodger

I did the BDX kit this weekend, I am still trying to decide on the flap and light, either my 07 flap with an led or just go buy the 09 flap and taillight. turned out pretty good, alot more solid than it looks, haven't done the cooler/tunnel supports yet, my bumper is very snug on the sides of the cooler, I had to tap the bumper up to get it to slide into place, I hope that is not an issue later on. I did the angle a little bit more than I should have, I didn't want that hole in the rear of the tunnel to show.

Did a little polishing on it to :D

I used my makita auto buffer with a 8" polish wheel, went over it first with tripoli and then went over it with a different wheel with jewelers rouge and then a little hand polishing with some mothers billet polish, took about 6 hours...

turned out sweet! very messy though...

What an outstanding job, wanna finish mine up?

Dunatic....better do your skid now too.

I will never bother to polish mine again, because that image will be stuck in my mind forever and I will always look at mine and be dissapointed.

:beer;:beer;:beer; to you dunatic, you just gave me a bunch of hours with which I can do other things.

That is the most beautiful tunnel I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing the pics

Did you punch those square holes in your running boards? I need to do two of them at the back of my tunnel.
