Bar forward.... Kincaid style

THIS.........is why I went with pivoting riser!! THIS is what the telescoping post does when you hit it!!

I think your typical injuries would include a femur like this or sternum/xiphoid,clavicle, head & neck from your post/bar incidents....not your nuts.
I'm gonna try the Rox Riser forward mount!!

I remember my first beer !!!
Shouldn't you be on Facebook ??

Good talk... it's been fun.

Nuts, leg, chest... it doesn't matter, having that thing is a liability... but more importantly, you're just missing what COULD make the sled so much better.

THAT was 16 months ago and I still have a dent in my leg and muscle is still weak, I couldn't walk for 3 weeks........do what ever you want, I know what works better

I moved my handle bars forward about 2 1/4" with rox riser. I've seen many picture of cat riders Rob Kincaid and David McCure running that set up so figured I would try it. In the garage it feel nice. You can move all the way forward on the sled. Anybody else running this set up?

armey37...have you had any ride time with this set up ? If so your thoughts !!

With the 3" you can sorta jam the bag under the gauge. But it's pretty useless, def can't get goggles in it. Maybe like a lil tiny sandwich hahaha. So I just gave up on the idea.
Standard post. 3" c3. 2.5" riser. Turns the sled into an animal, and mines a "crappy" 2012 that used to wash out brutal on side hills.

Snopro_69....thanks for your post,i too have a 2012, and looking for options that work, unfortunately i don't want to lose my goggle pouch...hence the rox riser forward position, but if it creates a negative swing like the Doos, thats just sh!tty

i'm on the fence with my adjustable post i like it for riding in and out of the backcountry.i got the bushing kit from Canada Sled Parts,it tightened up my steering a long way

Some of us ride hard enough that we crash at times. (and SOME of us ride hard enough to crash ALL the time :D )
If hitting the bars is something that seems "fake" to you... I suggest you try harder.
But do ask the guys that get paid to ride this setup... you're sure to get a COMPLETELY unbiased answer.
Btw, I hit the bars a couple times a month, and I've hit them hard enough to bend them a stack of times in the last few years. since it's not actually your nuts? Broken ribs are fun, right?
Make sure to report back to us...

now on to the Dumont Diminutive, nice poke at Rob Kincaid and Dave Mcclure...thats real cool...if you only had half of their talent.
You think you're the only one who rides or rides hard enough to break sh!t or get injured, you're delusional!
Do i think broken ribs are fun?....absolutely not....anything broken is uncool.... been there...ribs,hands,fingers,arm,leg,face...so save it
i never said that hitting the bars was "fake",you better go read the posts again.you act like you're the only person that has ever tweaked bars and have a stash of them....seriously???....lol !!
not sure why you continue to lurk around the Proclimb forums like a troll, the Doo forum is looking for some good sarcasm.....or... you could just head back to Wisconsin... they got lots of cheese for your "whine"...lol
just because people don't comment on your post or respond to you the way that you want them to too.... doesn't necessarily mean "they're missing the point"....it could simply mean they're just not buying into your bullsh!t

High Country I haven't ridden with my current setup but I wanted to before the snow melted. Also to others, if Kincaid and McClure had any personal injuries I was assume they wouldn't run the bar setup they do. Those guys ride a lot, so that tells me it's something that really works for backcountry riding. Just my 2 cents.

High country.. not sure wtf your personal beef is, but you should take your personal problems and keep them somewhere else.

I bring up an issue... you call it fake... simple as that. If you deny the reality of an issue, that makes you look like you can't understand why it would happen.

Run whatever you want, but don't get all bent when someone explains why it's perhaps not the best possible way to do things.

He's prob jus jealous cause you know everything ...and chime in on everything with a know it all tone. Hooray for you. Maybe some of us can actually ride. Jeez.

The funny thing is I happen to have the opportunity to try a lot of different setups, so instead of guessing at what this & that will do... I've done it, ridden it, tried different versions of it...

I'm not chiming in with a guess based on what some dude has on his sled, I'm chiming in with what I've done.

No personal issues here dude ...I just happen to find your arrogance supersedes your knowledge...and not just on this thread ...ongoing for a couple/few years !
It's just not me, I have had several others state to me about your posting as well !!
If anyone is making this personal it's you ...with your PM (personal messaging) which can cease at anytime before this goes to a moderator.
You seem to be able to throw it ...but can't take it when someone pushes back !!
Now if we can get back to the OP and this thread the way it was intended...you douchebag !!!!

Getting called a douchebag by a brand loyal dufus with a cat logo TATOO'D on his body... no wonder you can't take any criticism of "your brand"

I sent a PM to figure out what your problem is... and being the big boy you are you post it on here... impressive.

Right, so... state your opinion, move on. Jeez, some of us don't need lessons on every post. I'm open to what you say and I frequently agree with you. I do care what others, whom might be sponsored, paid riders, think also. I try to troll around on here and gather info from everyone.
Fortunately, I also get to ride a variety of late model, brands and setups. I've wrecked my share of stuff, I'm not the best at wrenching or riding and I'm always trying to better myself and share with my friends. I've been out with some of the sponsored riders that you seem to resent and, let me tell you they can ride
I'm jus saying it comes off as know it all when I read it. And that's jus my personal feelings. I'm not trying to start a war I'm sure we'd have a blast should we ever meet on the mtn. I'd love to ride your personal setup after all these years of reading your posts. I'm pretty sure my setup might be interesting to yourself also. Peace! brother!

I think my distaste for the "god status" is taken as resentment... it's not, I just try to avoid "paid" opinions when I can.

I have a tendency to be a tad forceful... sorry bout that, some of us are better at modulating what we say than others, I lack that bit of tact :D

A brand loyal dufus with an Arctic Cat tattoo...whhhaaaatttt ....lol....thats kinda funny...yup i guess thats me....and proud of it....unfortunately that's not what this is about.
this has nothing to do with tattoo's or being brand loyal,or criticism on my 2012 HC being sent out early with horrible characteristics that i'm still dealing with...who's missing the point now?

this post... has everything to do with this.....Friendly Cat Salad and some others have hit the nail on the head
furthermore to avoid opinions because they're "paid"...well thats just closed minded and foolish.
Rob Kincaid is one of the straightest shooters i have ever met in the sled world...he tells it like it is...go watch his uncut/unplugged youtube video of him...hilarious!!
To poke at a "paid" guy that's a good rider...well thats just pure jealousy!
To poke at me by calling me a douche... behind the scene in a PM...well that's just childish and bit retarded !!
you don't need to PM me to insult me ... i can take your criticism and your insults...because it means absolutely nothing...and that is why i posted your PM ...so go put on your big boy pants and lets move on.
I get it... we don't agree...lets agree that we disagree.lets not respond to each others post...deal ?
For the love of this sport can we get back on topic and this thread and stop this back and forth BS

Done with your personal issues Kerry... buh bye.

"This message is hidden because High Country is on your ignore list."

Should have done this last year, any thread I'm in you come in with personal BS yapping about ME... rather than discussing the issue. I'm done with it.

Since you can't discuss whatever a thread is about without turning it into a personal attack... I'm cool with just ignoring your petty a$$ from now on.

SOOOOO What bar setup should I run.:pop2:

I think both the HCR or Post Forward are both going to improve the sled. Every time Im pushing the sled I catch myself trying to get the farthest forward I can. Im going with C3 3" this summer just because I think it will get me farther forward. I hate riding my friends skidoos but I think the post forward will help and from what Ive heard I will get use to it. Busted by chin open on the stock bar set up last year hate to see what my face would of looked like with the "ballbuster setup" :face-icon-small-con

My experience with the rox setup - yes High Country I have tried it. It was only on my sled for one weekend because of the reasons I've noted in my previous posts.

Pros -
- I really liked the bar postion - forward is better.
- More space for various body positions, not so cramped
- With your body weight more forward the sled is more responsive easier
to roll on edge and sidehill.

Cons -
- Ball busting block (this alone is a deal braker for me)
- No give with setup
- I don't move my bars so adjustable post does nothing for me
- Certain I'd like the bars even more forward, thus going to try C3 3"
postfoward setup. I'm taller it should work well for me
- On setup snow/trail it is slightly harder to steer when standing.
- Lost space in bar bag

This is not hype or fake snowest drama. This is my experience and opinion. Take it for whatever it's worth.

No I'm not a paid rider or have an affiliation with any products I own or try.

Just a weekend warrior.......................

Nice ...thanks Chewy22 good write up ...I'm gonna need to do some more homework

Just a FYI for the guys going 3" post forward. I'm 6 feet tall an first put on 2.5" riser an found it a lil low on trail (hunch back). So next size I could get was 4". Put that on it it lasted one day an I was pushed too far back again an sled was totally unpredictable an washed out with feet back. Back down to 2.5" for rest of all last season (30+ riding days in some of the deepest snow I've seen in Revy) and I wouldn't ever go taller than the 2.5". It's just plain awesome. I was so close to selling mine an getting a Poo because of the side hill washout till I did this. Now I'm completely impressed!!

Hey BCIL,
I appreciate your input on things such as this. Its always nice to be able to pick up the phone or pm you and get a bunch of my questions answered, order parts, or just pick your brain. So without getting into a pi$$ing match with somebody f'm if they cant take it.
