backpack????

Two seasons on my Dakine Heli pro, and it still looks and works like new. Has a pocket for installing a hydration pack, but I just carry water bottles and gatorade with me. Lots of nice packs out there if you can check them out in person to compare your better off, snowboarding shops seem to be a good place to look.

I have an Osprey Helios that I have used for 5 years. Works great and is still in perfect shape. My ABS Freeride is falling apart after 1 season.

Looked at the Klim nac pac might put it on x-mas list. Not a very big pac is expandable comes with hydration bladder soft lined pouch good shovel storage decent back pads, waist strap about $80 @ Helmet Outlet.

I ride with the older model... a little small, but still works nice. Doesn't get hung up on trees/etc either.

Ortovox,or bca stash or Older Dakine ,the new ones aren't the same,i've got a heli pro but thinking of going back to my smaller but WAY more effecient dakine tactical pack.Just a smarter set up.The bca stash is nice though a friend has one and it's got some nice features.

Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a pack designed for larger people?? I am barrel-chested and have very broad shoulders...The packs that I have tried on don't seem to fit....If they DO fit, the pack itself doesn't sit flat on my back because of the angles that the straps are forced to endure. For reference, try putting on a jacket that's 3 sizes too small (unzipped of course) and try to grab the handlebars- The bottom rear of the jacket will climb up your back. It's kinda like that. Any ideas??

HMK backcountry pack, shovel (with saw), and probe kits are on sale for $150. Saves you $50 and it's a killer kit. pm me for details

all kinds of combos of colors...great pack..great sled friendly company.

I am hesitant to buy products from the ski industry because some times the profits are put back into keeping us from riding. 100% assure you that ZERO HMK money is ever put towards anti-sledding or anti motorized land use causes. Can you say that about some of the other brands listed?

DAKINE all the way dude
i have an older one and its the shiz
BUT....the new Heli Pro II is the tits
has a goggle pouch, spot on the OUTSIDE for shovel handle
spot inside for the shovel blade, bladder, and spot for camera on the waist strap

24l pack, they also make one for a tall dude
$100 CDN and your out the door....

best pack by far...you wont be disspointed

my old HP is like 7 yrs old and still in really good shape, all zippers/straps in tact

another one for camelback i carry every thinging in mine and still have some room. mine has lasted almost 4 years now, i dont know now but when i bought mine it had a life time warrenty on certian parts like the zippers and what not.
something to think about

Got an Ogio three6 myself, awesome pack, lots of pockets.
I guess they stopped making them.
I wonder if Dakine supports any greenie orgs???
Sounds like Camelpak does.

No greenies !

Nice point F-Bomb we should all try to keep this in mind when making our purchases, not trying to get all wacked-out about it but no sense in giving to the organizations that try to shut us down.

I have this pack,Its nice BUT internal pockets are lame,it is bulky(HEAVY) has some nice featues BUT once again the interior is hurtin.Ihave an old drafter(dakine) i like better.

There are a lot of good packs out there. I am going with the Skinz Protective Gear pack this winter. The True Adventure Gear packs are also nice. Ogio and Dakine both make a very nice pack. The Klim pack is nice, but on the small side.

As stated it's nice to see them in person. They all fit a bit differently and have different features. We all have different needs when it comes to this.
