I would agree with the self esteem issues.

I sometimes wonder if there's something more too. I too think "who could be THAT stupid" but then I watched what happened with this last election and how gullible people were and still are in that arena On the other hand with some of the seemingly stupid decisions the administration is making in our gvt, sometimes it's not stupid, it's intentional.

One would also wonder how the people he scammed before could be that stupid. I wonder how people could be stupid enough to send money to any ol' person who calls saying they have a deal or an offer or need money for some charity. It's possible there are people who are just that gullible, LOL.

Like you say, it'll be fun to watch what unfolds. I know I'm not going to quit digging until every stone is unturned and every option is exhausted.

APF has now changed to their formal name of APPF, American Private Police Force. Ex-Con Hilton also has changed the crest since Serbia was threatening legal action. There are also more changes on the website. Becky (I'm as dumb as my a$$ is wide) Shay said hilton did this to "diffuse tension".

Two Rivers is having a meeting at 3:00 P.M today, it will be interesting to see if they continue forward with this mess.

That meeting is a public meeting at City Hall and APF reps were supposed to be there as well (but with Hilton and his "associates" in Calif, not sure what's up - I'm sure Shay will be there with her non-answers). When I found out about the mtg from the city atty's scy early last week, I asked Rehberg's staff if they could go and there will be a guy from Rehberg's office there.

Well the Two Rivers Board decided to retain legal council before proceeding with the contract further due to some "questions" being raised at their meeting today.........maybe they should have done that before meeting with con-man Hilton. No mention of the board VP (I should be tarred and feathered) Peterson that said this was a great deal. Also no mention of the board President Smith who is still on admin leave. Why is he on admin leave? It seems that some other members on the board are maybe wising up. What a bunch of douchebags for taking it this far.

My guess is Becky (I love a good con) Shay is going to be out of a job and I would be surprised if the Billings Gazette hires her back.

I still have one question, What was Ex-Con Hiltons angle on this? He would have had to come up with 2.6 million to lease the jail. It seems that with a supposed con like this the cons would outweigh the pros......make me wonder.

I'm with ya BJ. I also wonder about Greg Smith's "leave." I figured at today's meeting, Shay would probably mostly say "I can't answer that question" to everything that was posed to her.
I also wonder Hilton's angle. Someone said "I know what the bait was, but what's the hook."
And I would be VERY surprised if Becky got her job back. It appears that her leaving just caused the other reporters to dig deeper into this company. A quote used several times is "they got their nose bent out of joint."

BILLINGS - There are more legal issues facing the leader of American Police Force.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered Michael Hilton to appear October 29th over an outstanding judgment in a fraud lawsuit. Court documents claim Hilton scammed investors to give $1.1 million dollars towards an assisted living complex in California, the project that was never built.

Co-defendant Dr. Joseph Carella says he was also taken advantage of by Hilton. "My blood pressure goes sky high, I can't eat, I get depressed all over again, and I've tried to block him out of my mind. He's the biggest crook and charlatan I have ever met in my life," said Carella.

On Sunday, the name on APF's website switched to American Private Police Force and its logo was changed.

BILLINGS - A California judge has ordered American Police Force figure Michael Hilton, a felon with a history of fraud seeking to operate an empty Montana jail, to appear in court on October 27 over an outstanding judgment in a fraud lawsuit.

The October 2 order follows a proposal by American Police Force, Hilton's newly minted California company, to take over and run a 464-bed jail in Hardin The judgment in the case is among several against Hilton totaling more than $1.1 million.

In that case, Hilton lured investors to sink money into an assisted living complex in Southern California that was never built. Hilton also spent several years in state prison in California in the 1990s.

Hardin built its jail in 2007 as an economic development project, but has been unable to fill it.

I still want to know the angle that Ex-Con Hilton has? He would have had to front a lot of money to make this happen, where was he going to get the dollars? Tpically cons are to get money out of someone or something. In this situation the con-man would have to front money. The one scenario I have thought of is Hilton was using the Two Rivers front as a way to get money from somewhere else. He would then take the money and run and Hardin would still have an empty jail and a contract not worth the paper it was written on. Then the people or business that lended him the money to operate the Two Rivers contract would be out big time.

I don't understand why this has not been asked. Anybody else have any thoughts? I don't think this is close to over yet.

I use common sense and see that there is criminal activity afoot. I don't believe that this is some conspiracy. I tend to be good at this type of thing since it is my line of work, so yes I am the authority. You on the other hand believe that it is the New World Order and they will be coming for everyone to round up into concentration camps. Do you see a lot of that driving your truck around? You must be a very old man if you have been running this crap since I was in diapers. You seem to just be a legend in your own mind.

By the way.......you seem to like to get chitfaced drunk quite often. So if you really believe what you spout off, shouldn't you stay sober all of the time. KULR8 had a short blurb that TRA's exec director, Greg Smith, who was on "leave," resigned yesterday.

Then there's this article, HAHAHAHA:

BILLINGS - Officials with Two Rivers Authority and American Police Force have less that a week to respond to a request for more information from Montana's Attorney General, Steve Bullock.

On Monday, officials with both TRA and APF received paperwork from Bullock requesting more information.

"He's asking all the questions members of the media have been asking me for the last six days," APF spokeswoman Becky Shay said on Friday when she first learned about the request. Bullock asks for information about APF's previous business ventures. He also asks them to identify their current or former owners.

"We certainly welcome this scrutiny," Shay said. "As a spokeswoman I welcome the process by which he's requesting this information."

Though the documents are directed to Shay's attention, she said she's not sure how much she will personally have to produce. She and group leader Michael Hilton are currently in talks with corporate legal counsel to determine how they will respond to the Bullock's request.

TRA Board Chairman Gary Arneson said TRA has already gathered most of the paperwork the AG is asking for including minutes of previous meetings and the contract with APF that's currently under negotiation. He said he hopes to have everything delivered to Helena by the end of the week.

Shay said APF will have no trouble making the Monday deadline. Officials with Montana's AG said if information is not turned in on time, either party could be held in contempt of court.

There are three people that I am trying to figure out, Greg Smith, Peterson, and the former TRA attorney, Becky Convery. The ones that traveled to CA to meet with Hilton and made the deal with Hilton.

Greg Smith resigned yesterday at the TRA board meeting. The TRA board would not say why. I did read from something a local posted on a comment board that Hilton had offered Smiths wife Kerri(the one running for Hardin Mayor) a job when he opened the jail. It seems that maybe the Smith family was trying to personally profit from this venture and that is why he was placed on admin leave and ultimately quit. That is my theory at this point.

Yesterday at the meeting Peterson was asked a fair question and refused to answer. His back is against the wall, and he is being defensive because of it. I think he knows more than he is letting on, and is in cover up mode figuring out a way to protect his sorry a$$. He did say that he met with 11 people while in CA. Attorney Convery wasn't at the meeting and was asked later. Ms. Convery said that they only met with 3 people while in CA. Hmm, someones lying. Peterson may have been offered a lot by Hilton as well, maybe that's why he really wanted this deal to go through. All of the ones that want it to go down, all have dollar signs in their eyes.

Then there is Becky Convery. She resigned from being legal council for TRA. I think she is the one with some common sense and figured to get out before the chit hit the fan. It seems that her biggest motivation was/is getting Hardin their own Police Dept. I am still not for certain what she is all about.

Becky Shay at this point has to realize she made a very, very bad decision. I am expecting her to run, run away from Hilton very soon......probably when her new SUV gets repossessed.

If this story would have stayed local it could have been bad news and turned into a very big mess. For once the media are doing their jobs.

I typically do not follow the news much, because of the way the meda is. I have spoke to the media several times, and it is most always portrayed in a different way than I said it. For that I don't follow a lot of stories. With that said, this story has really gotten my attention. It is very interesting, I am enjoying trying to figure out the different angles of this story.

Interesting arcticle about would be Hardin Jail director.

Mr. Cohen the man that said Hilton was using his name as the new prison director when he wasn't even hired has a few skeletons in his closet. Makes me think that Cohen was going to work for APPF until this hit the national news, now he is backtracking. I read Cohen's resume and it looked very good.......made me wonder why he had submitted it to APPF. WHOOPS, Cohen is a convicted felon as well. I guess that nice resume don't mean much now for Mr. Cohen. This just keeps getting better and better, what a bunch of morons.
