Anyone enjoy riding a Non-boosted 4-stroker ?

Just curious.

Seems like everyone talkes about BOOST BOOST BOOST.

Well, some of us can't afford BOOST, but would still like to try a four stroker.

Anyone have anything to say about natural breathing yami's ??

Lets hear it. Convert me! :D

Love my Nytro. little heavy campared to other's iv ridden. Saving for the turbo though. Great throttle response from the 4smoke. needs more track speed... hence the saving for turbo:cool:

Yeah! I rode an Apex for two seasons, about 2,000 miles in the steep and deep. It had a few weight reductions done to it, and some small HP improvements and I had a blast on it. I sold it and took last year off to hit the dirt track racing hard for a year. I wish I still had it.

Now i'm trying to decide if the Nytro will be enough or should I go back to the Apex. The simplicity of the 4-strokes are great. Turn the key and just gas and go, no oil and no worries. Just hold it to the bar for as long as you want and never once think.......I hope I'm jetted fat enough for this cold weather. Eric

Rode my Nytro part of last season bone stock & still loved it. Never got it into deep powder, but it was fun & since I can't afford boost this year, I'll be riding it N/A this season too.

Rode a stock nytro mtx for most of last winter and it was the funnest winter I can remember in a long time!!! It was so nice not to worry about all the things I used to worry about on the two strokes. All I had to do was add gas and ride. However, this winter I plan on adding a bunch of mods to my nytro so I can start worrying about things again. It's an addiction!

Stock 4 stroke

My friend rode a stock 2006 Apex and it did everything my Yamaha Viper 700would do. It had pipes, 151 track, intake, reeds. I am now going to be riding a Turbo RX-1 this year.

road my 06 Vector mtn with some mods stock for one year. Thought it was the best sled ever. Then i went to a Boosted Demo ride for a weekend. Held off all day saturday. End of day sunday i took it for a spin and then i was hooked.

My advice. What you don't know won't hurt you. My buddy rides a non boosted Nytro and loves it compared to is older poo 800.

I ride a stock 07 Apex and think its a great sled. It has power that just keeps going and going. I think a camo extreme would go a long way on this sled as the Mav just spins and hardly hooks up. as was mentioned above its nice to hold it to the bars and know that it aint gonna blow. I am thinking about the Nytro this year, I just love the looks of them and the rider forward.

3700kms on my 06 Apex and never a problem, weighs in heavy but does not handle like it. A few upgrades to make it more comfortable and hook up better but overall very impressed. Trying something new this year, MCX Nytro, I don't think it will disappoint!!!

Cheers

Coming from a REV, If I go 4stroke it'll be a Nytro. LOVE the looks of them and am used to the rider forward already. Just scared of the weight.

Hope I get a chance to ride one this winter.

I bought a 4smoke sticktly for the boost factor... that being said, and after it has come around from the break in period, I am really thinking twice about the boost.

I love this sled, and out of the box (after break in) it is the best I have owned. I have done several mods, (Timbersled, light battery, 162 Power Claw, Better Boards, Fox floats, exhaust, etc.) but I was 90% happy with the sled before all of that.

You won't go wrong.

Dude...search! There are so many threads on this it is rediculous. A 4-stroke is like any other 2-stroke except a little heavier and way more reliable. If you can deal with that you'll be happy.

I rode every sled i could before i bought mine. great power ergonomics and ride ability. turn key and go. sense i bought mine 3 others in our group rode it and bought there own 4 stokes. sure is heavy on paper but doesn't feel like it until your stuck, but then again that's what friends are for. :beer; the only place the apex sucks is on hard well setup snow as for the nytro I couldnt tell ya

I ride an 07 apex, and absolutely love it. They are heavier but you will learn how to deal with it and they ride a little different, but once you get used to it there is no going back. If you can spend some money and take some weight out of them they will stack up to just about anything and so matienance free just turn key and go. I have lots of jealous friends!! Thats my .02:D:beer;

rode my nytro stock 1st 1/2 sucked. fox floats and stage 2 supercharger very happy. coming off of m-8

My Nytro does just fine without boost. Yes, it's a little heavy but that isn't anything a few lightweight parts can't fix. It does great in the powder and boondocks really nicely. It will go anywhere I dare to take it. It just takes a little more finesse to get it there sometimes. It isn't going to set the highmark without some extra horsepower, but I am not a hardcore highmarker anyway. I did ride in some pretty deep stuff almost every ride last season and only got stuck twice. This sled might get boost eventually but only because of the added fun factor, not because I think it's no good without it. Just my two cents
