Indeed, arguing is futile and wastes lots of time. Action is needed and now.

The point is that we need to first fix the problem.
The problem isn't the tax issue, it is the spending issue.
Once spending is cut down to absolute necessities, then we can consider if any changes should be made to existing tax codes & what those changes should be.

I get the point. I think we should have stopped spending yesterday. Like cutting all the foreign aid, and crap for other countries AND ending our middle eastern wars.
