and so begins the reign of obama

Wilderness, Land of No Uses.

Close off our public lands so we continue to be dependent upon foreign lands.

God help the younger generation - they'll have no idea what this country was once like.

Wilderness, Land of No Uses.

That's not entirely true, it makes them "FEEL" better. Feelings are very important to these people. It's pretty much all they have left in their worthless lives.

Personally, I think we should just release a news update, all lands have been saved, you can rest now. If the liberal media tells them it's true, they'll believe it.

Great point Wade!!! It's all about the $$$$$
Hell, here in Idaho, all the republican, and the Democrat, are all pro wilderness. It's not the land, it's the huge community grants that come with them. Mike Simpson has long wanted everything around Stanely Idaho to become a wilderness. And, Crapo wants the Oweyees to be wilderness. And, now Craig's replacement, Riech is pro wilderness. The Democrat was on the board of some Wilderness group, so we all know what he thinks. Were getting back stabbed by the republicans too. All they want is the money, they could care less about anything else. Some greenies lady promises money (your tax dollars) in exchange for wilderness, and the congressmen get all slobbery. They all secretly hope the wilderness areas will be named after them, just like Frank Church.

Yeah that kinda of tactic pizzes me off. That is if it's true! Who knows!!??
"When the American people asked Congress to set a new tone, I don't believe refusing to listen to the concerns of others was what they had in mind," Coburn said. "The American people expect us hold open, civil and thorough debates on costly legislation, not ram through 1,300-page bills when few are watching."

The Democrats/Liberals/Progressives are good at ramming. It's whats good for us even though we don't want it.

Good question. It is certainly possible but it is just as likely to go the other way as well. As for my comment to the bman, A bit harsh!! Sorry the bman! Welcome to the forum!:o
Gee whiz, if McCain had won and this turd came across his desk (IN ANY FORM) do think he may have VETOed the bill? Ya know the President has that power? Isn't telling the noob to STFU a little much?

not a chance... Has there been any precedence of any president vetoing a bill that was on land usage? I don't remember any...

Hey bman, what an awesome post. I wish I could exrpess myself this well.

It's amazing to me that some sledders can easily forget the Clinton era of constant front page battles to keep our right to access public lands. The damage done by court appointments took us into the Bush years before the battles lessened regarding land access. Even though the battles have lessened they still go on and now that we have a Dem controlled Congress and WH they will now get more extreme. Any sledder that voted for Obama or a Dem legislator should be the first to give up their sled when they start shutting down access. Vote for whoever you want, that's your right as an American, but be prepared to deal with the consequences of your vote. For those that say they were voting for their job and were sick of the Repubs, good for you, feel free to live your life, living to work and depending on government to help you. The rest of us will continue the fight to be free and to live our life working as a means to enjoy our freedoms.

STFU !! Noob!!! There was no way of stopping it in 90% of its presented form wether McCain got in or not!

Hey justalibtard, Why are you flaming libtards backpeddling now? All we've heard since nov. is how our new messia and our great democrap government is NOT going to shut down more land. I see where our new governments prioritys are. Freaking moron.

This goes for you to ruffypelosi

Who said that? Who thinks that? Must be one who has no clue at what the main cause of closures is in the US....

I might be a moron though... :beer;

How is what they did even considered fair?
The republicans should have a little voting out by the playground and vote to put a oil drill in Pelosi's backyard!!
Sounds just as fair as what really happened.
Our government is the most corrupt, f'd-up government in the world.....and yet it's best thing anyones got.....SAD!!!!!

Good lord.. most likely this pile of crap would have never made it out of committee or been drastically changed before it went to the President's desk if there was impassable opposition. But,at the end of the day the President still has the veto power, what do you think all those complaining Republicans would have recommended?

We gots us some drunk-with-power progressive idiots now baby. Sky's the limit!

Yah, but Bush passed a bunch too... Just saying the president has much more important things on his plate, no matter what his political party is. In the game of give and take, do you really think any president would not sign the bill?

Seems kind of ignorant to think that, especially if you looked at what came out of congress the last couple of years... and made it's way all the way..

Fu%k your like trying to nail jello to the wall.

Should of put some pretzels in it.... :beer; Or just cede the point... ;)

Unlikely, every time we face another one of these unchecked/unchallenged land grabs I'll be keeping this thread near the top as a reminder to all the unfaithful. No more Mr. nice guy, no more mental masturbation, no more anything.

"Oh yeah, your guy would do it too!" Great arguement to justify the Messiah closing public lands from the public.
Noob? That's a good one sport.
STFU? Only when the libs amend the Constitution to allow only their point of view to be spoken. Kind of looks like that is what you are trying to do with your well thought out response. That's sarcasm, hope you realize it while your under the influence of the kool-aid.;)

The fact is that Macain began to change his stance after bringing Palin into the campaign and you have no way to know how they would have acted, although I would surely rather have taken my chances with them. The main reason we are loosing our areas is the loss of great reps like Pombo. The best way to defeat liberalism and envior whackos is the house of reps. It is the closest to the people and none of this legislation goes anywhere without them. You have a much greater effect on your local representative, runs every two years and a much smaller voter area to have to work and get out the vote. I don't care who is pres if we get the right people in the house. Swampy:(

I said I was a little harsh in my 1st response. Chill the f out!! I really get tired of tough guy internet noob crap! I'm not happy about the plan either, but your simply delusional thinking YOU know what McCain was going to do or not do regarding this bill. You can (I'm not)argue the point from now to the end time but we'll never know will we? In other words wtf is the point?????
