Alyeska Motor Madness

just sold my sled for now. it was stock whats to be scared of? :eek: but i will be back in the game hopefully in time for the "legend" "masters" show lol

i had a great time on friday at the hill climbs i had more fun sitting in the sun and meeting new people than actually racing it just took to long between classes. nice to meet you dougdanger. looks like lots had fun cant wait for next years riding season

LOL at the aftertalk. No reason to bring a 2-stroke turbo to that race unless they actually make it an uphill run or lengthen it out. I'm pretty sure a factory mod 800 with studs could have won the unlimited class.

Nonetheless, it was fun, just wish they would make it a real drag like the Big Iron Shootout or Fairview down south. Let the big iron flex their horsepower, more fun for everyone to watch. :beer;

Ya! real fun watching you beat me to the finishline by 200ft,lol. I'm going to put 20lbs of steel throughout my track, I'll get some stinking traction. I'll big bore it too. And nitrous, and ?????.

Man.. Looks like a great time. Maybe next year (if I don't break!!). Looks like everyone had a great weekend in the sun.

Congrats to all who made it.:beer;:beer;

Had a good time sitting in the sun watching the races saturday. I think they could definitly improve the drag course though. There is no point in running a turbo sled in that race if they keep it like that. I know that Turbo Tim's sled would have smoked that guy if the track was a little longer. By the time you get into the boost your at the end of the track. It makes the big bore guys feel good though :D

Build the sled for the race you go too and it will do well, play sleds are not race sleds and vise versa. Just my two cents.

Very true. But how does your mod sled that you sold to robert do in the back country

Oh BTW send me you address so i can send you a towing bill hahaha....j/k....did you ever find out what happened to it?

Maybe if they started offering $5K to the winner it would be worth building a sled specifically for the Alyeska 500 ft. ice drag..:D Maybe someday it will get to that point.

I'm sure the drags at Alyeska will be the same next year, so everyone be ready. Not sure if they will make the coarse longer, the speeds will be too fast. More of a liability thing I bet.

Which goes to show we should start our own shootout, maybe at artic man or somewhere else, unsanctioned just like Canada, The fastest sleds in Alaska just happen to get together some weekend, and race in deep snow up hill.
