Which goes to show we should start our own shootout, maybe at artic man or somewhere else, unsanctioned just like Canada, The fastest sleds in Alaska just happen to get together some weekend, and race in deep snow up hill.

Yep This needs to Happen, I say it should be in valdez,They use to have a run what you brung class after the hill climbs, Im shure if enough people showed interest it could happen again. Take four are five sleds and line them up for a drag race up hill in snow not ice.

Im down for that, alot of big sleds up here that need to be showcased for a day. I would say artic man would be a good place for it since there is so many people you could pass out flyers and potentially have a great turnout and alot of spectators. In any event i will try to make it no matter when or where, would be a great time to run these things and bs

That would be a good time. Guess I better replace the toasted 2860 with a 2871 to try and hang with that Titanium monster. Probably need to get up around 22 lbs if I can keep the fuel to air ratios within range.

Build the sled for the race you go too and it will do well, play sleds are not race sleds and vise versa. Just my two cents.

Until there is a decent race it's not worth building a sled to run in a few hundred ft. slush drag. We should try to get something going in Valdez though. That would be the ideal place to have it, great snow and big hills to run up. Line up these high horse sleds and let them breathe

That woudl be awesome to have it in Valdez. But do they have time to do it? this yr was pretty packed with just the hill climbs

Do it ourselves on a different day....everyone throws up a hundy...winner take all...you get 2 losses then you're out

'Aaron Arthur memorial race'. Half of the money went to Avalanche Awarness, the other half went to the winner. This started in 2000, but after a few years, there were only 2-3 fast sleds. Now there are alot of fast sleds and I think it would be a cool race to have. It could be done on saturday after the hillclimbs. There is plenty of time to done it. And winner takes all, could even have grudge matches, that way I could take Nicks money. Sorry nick, bring that nitrous.

joe's sled was geared for mid 80's mph ! Derk's drag [pavement] sled run low 9's at 134 at alaska raceway ! Boost boost and more boost can't wait! Why wait sounds like alot of the snowesters have muscle car and trucks! I'm one for top end! :d
