All you BIG-TIME chute climbers...

Look how the guy is hunched over, and the dog... his tongue is hanging out and he has FOUR legs...
haha. I don't disagree that it's a cool chute and all. Most of the chutes we climb in B.C. you have to walk up them using feet and hands because they are sooo steep.
If this chute was in BC it would have been climbed years ago. The fact that the only way down is by chopper may have turned a few peeps away as well. When you have a chopper at your disposal, it obviously gives you way more options.
I have seen Paul hit many chutes in BC. I have seen him try Monster many many times, and the same with the gash. I know he would agree that there is no comparison in the level of difficulty between the Monster Chutes and this one. Obviously the snow conditions play a huge part, and that is why alot of film companies wait until this time of year to film.

I say congrats to the 3 guys that did do it though...it is a cool chute.:face-icon-small-coo

So just because you haven't climbed this chute you feel the need to downgrade it? We know some of the basest chutes are in BC and that you've climbed most of them. Just because someone else climbed a bad a chute that wasn't you nor in BC doesn't mean you need to downplay it. Let them enjoy what they've done.

Ya ok Zeb, I get it...you love all things Impulse and that is cool!

It is a cool chute, I have said it 3 times...I just said it's not that steep, and I don't think I'm wrong. I also said congrats, and I meant it. All three guys should feel proud to be the first ever to climb it!!:face-icon-small-coo

If it wasn't 18 hrs away, I would be there in a heartbeat hitting it with my Pro 800.

Again, it comes back to you and how you would climb it on your 800. Attention everyone! Neil has climbed and will climb any chute known to man! Sure you congradulated them, then in the next breath downplayed what they did. I'm just saying look at all your previous posts of your climbs and see if anyone downplayed what you did. It has nothing to do with impulse,Alpine, mcx, or whatever.

Ok whoa whoa, looks like I hit a nerv!
First of all, I never once said anything about anything I climbed in the past...mostly because I don't care. You will never see me post where I am gloating about something I climbed. If I climb something, I do it for myself and no one else. If a camera's out, then so be it. I have climbed 10 times more stuff without a camera on me, then with one shooting.
Travis openly invited anyone to try it...I read his post, and Phatty said who was going to be the first on a 2 stroke. So if I said I would be there on my Pro, then I don't see the big deal. Would it make you feel better if I climbed it on one of my Yamaha's? Not sure where I tried to make anything about me.
I think you need to chill dude!

Hey guys... just thought I would way in as the guy who will probably NEVER be able to climb this thing cause all my sleds are OLD, HEAVY and UNDERPOWERED and BLOW UP when you "pin 'em". (did I say old?) I started this thread because this IS the BADDEST chute "I" have seen with my own eyes... never been to BC. It has been talked about for a looooong, looooong time... but not even ONE of the BIGGEST BADDEST NAMES out there ever stepped up to it. Though they've ALL been in our canyon filming at one point or another. The geographic nature of this thing... access, vertical climb with NO wiggle-room, off-camber in the middle to boot plus the left turn halfway up adds to the legend... probably not the STEEPEST... BUT, SHES PLENTY STEEP! A 3' landing on the top makes things a lil' trickier, eh? Ever wonder how SOOOOO many out-of-staters even know about this thing? Sledders/climbers who have NEVER been to Lamoille have heard of this chute... not so withh ALL the ones in BC (because there are so many in BC?) The way "Chemo" sticks out all by itself here just adds to its uniqueness. Honestly... with where sledding technology and the riders who climb have progressed to, I just wondered if this would ever be attempted without a little "provocation"? Maybe Skibumm's climb wasnt what could make this story legendary in the climbing community... the fact HE (and his buddies) made it a point to come here and point the sleds up this thing and DO IT!.... he's got my vote.

One other thought... how many turbos have slain those BC chutes? Seems alot of names have been to the top of em all at one point or another. But thats an UNEDUCATED simple observation...

DOC ZOOM!!!!!..... I SEE YOU LURKING!!!! HOPE YOUR POSTING SOME PICS! YOUR ABOUT TO HAVE A FULL-ON RIOT ON YOUR HANDS HERE!:whip:

.....get a helicopter PC(Joe) and I will come out next weekend.

WHY?....WHY?... WHY? MUST EVERBODY climb this on my work days now!:nono: AO... gimme a call, or I can call you. Been over 65deg up there last 2 days.:face-icon-small-coo Were unloading at the campground which is just around the corner from the chute. That fresh snow a few days ago was WET and HEAVY, the chute slid and the bottom is a mess.:face-icon-small-con The rocks in the run-in at the bottom of her ar starting to show. A pre-noon climb is "possible"... but I think the IMPULSE guys hit it right at the last, best chance. Also, have the 411 on the helo for ya... will be off 'til wed.

Hey, I climbed that chute two days prior to the Impulse guys, but since I was solo I too have no pictures to prove it, and my tracks were probably covered by the time they got there so all proof is gone, just the memories.:face-icon-small-win(Then I woke up) Chutes as well as riders= "No matter how bad you are, there's always someone badder" Congrats on being the second ones up that chute, unless of course we see some pictures, THEN we'll say you were the first since you have proof and I don't. Until then :second: Hope this prompts you to post at least one picture.:camera:
