All you BIG-TIME chute climbers...

I have heard of this chute for several yrs. And I always figured that it had not been Attempted for all this time for one reason or another. So that must say something on how nasty it could be, (or is). Now that it has been done, Big names or not. I will be looking forward to seeing it in the next, MMM. For you Sleders that made it to the top, well I can say one thing,

BIG ONES!!!

As for the point and chute theory, that is not even close to correct. It is never just point and chute. LOL

It doesn't look that steep (which is what NM was saying), but it looks like it could be tricky and a one shot deal, without knowing (walking it) what you where getting into could be a huge mistake. From what I saw (which isn't much) it looked like a 2 stroke with a good suspension would be much easier because of the off camber and roughness, but it depends on the snow conditions. I can't wait to watch it from diff angles.

Maybe they used yami's because they don't blow belt's or stick pistons. So whos next on a 2 smoke and then a stocker!

The dude with the 2 dogs, them sticks he is caring and that thing strapped to his back has got balls.

From this shot you have to respect that some of the wicked up sleds out there could get some vicious terminal velocity happening going up there, but only if your as crazy as the dude with the dogs

...and we're waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting,

They're here...pics!

Wow...what can I say! I am so proud of the Impulse boys! Paul, Travis and Rhett did an outstanding job of climbing this chute! It was pure heck just getting across the creek! There were pungie sticks everywhere from the beavers, it looked like Vietnam! A lot of planning and scoping out had to be done before this chute was even attempted! Paul had to get the helicopter just to check out the top and make sure there was even a place to park the sleds once they got there! They then secured a rope to the rocks to tie off the sleds once they reached the top. These guys were in the throttle for over one minute and twenty seconds and after watching the helmet cam footage, they were using some serious horsepower to climb this! In my ten years of filming, I have never seen any chute this massive!
Good job guys!:face-icon-small-hap

Yeah... I guess like Wyoboy and NM said, it actually doesnt look that steep afterall...:boxing:

In some of the pics it doesn't, can't really tell, but the one with the dogs it just doesn't look really steep. I think the impressive part is the width and off camber slopes, and it looks steeper from the latest pics but its hard to tell.
