All you BIG-TIME chute climbers...

Like it was mentioned... its around a 2,000 ft climb. Degree of slope changes from bottom to top. The guy with the dogs was down near the mouth of the gap at its lowest point, which is halfway up the hill. The run-in on the open hill at the lower bottom half isnt steep at all. Inside the chute itself, well?... Look close at the pic with the cameraman roped off sitting on the rock above the sled...

Thanks Doc, awesome shots and great job Impulse boys for being the first. I guess since it's not steep enough or tight enough for some people you should jump the lip at the top, pull a sidehill, and continue the climb over the top, still wouldn't be enough, maybe one handed. :noidea: blindfolded?

I hope your not trying to say I don't think they are the baddest of the bad, because I never did. Only stated that in one pic it doesn't look that steep, never said it was or wasn't, just that it looked that way. I also know every pic I have taken never looks as steep as it felt when I was doing it. So don't give me chit, the guys are bad a$s for getting it done. Very impressive. DOC does a lot better job of showing reality.

That was worth the wait! When is the vid coming, LOL There is no room in there at all. The third pic kind of showes how off camber that spot is. The camera man was jonny on the spot, All great pic's.

Was all the work and the pulls, done all in one Day or did it take more?

OK, I have to post up because I just looked at the pictures and my heart is pounding again right now like when I made it to the top...that was absolutely the most intense feeling I've ever had sledding! When I got to the top I almost passed out from the rush. Travis, on the other hand, did a little dance as you can see in the one picture.

When we pulled up to the bottom, I wasn't going to do the chute...then when we flew to the top and checked it out, I REALLY wasn't going to do the chute, but I borrowed a pair of huevos from Paul and Travis and I went up up second. I was in the throttle for almost a minute and 30 seconds :face-icon-small-sho and fortunately there wasn't a single hiccup in the sled and I didn't pull a boner and get too close to a wall because even the slightest burble would have meant lights out, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars, and maybe another chopper ride to the hospital (ya, that was me on Mountain Mod Mania 7 riding to the hospital with a blown knee). I don't even want to think about what would have happened if any one of us had blown a belt :rip:

There are bigger, steeper chutes with bigger, badder riders, but this was absolutely the the most overwhelming experience I've ever had on a sled. It was so awesome to make it to the top of the chute with some great friends (and some new ones we made) on such an sweet day. I don't need no stinking drugs...I've got Chemo!

Kevin, I want to get up there again this season, that would be some more epic-ness for sure, but it's not looking good right now, but that's whole 'nother story.

Great pics Doc! Can't wait for the movie... the back side opens into a big wide chute that would be relatively ez to climb. The problem is that to drop in would end you up in the rocks unlesss you had about 4 feet of fresh to shut you down. Backside from the top is almost straight down even though it doesn't look like it in the pics.

Still get a rush just by looking at the pics.

Doc!

Thanks for posting up the pictures and the Video. That was an awesome, though extremely tiring day!

Wow! That was awesome Doc! Can't wait for the full version. Cool thing about Terminal Cancer aka Chemo is the story behind it. From the camera work, to the helicopter, and everyone involved. A little over a minute on the the throttle is the result of literally years in the making. We have looked at this chute for at least 4 seasons and finally everything lined up for us this time. I feel fortunate to be a part of it and thank Paul, Rhett, and of course Doc for this experience!

Very awesome everyone involved! The pics and video definitely bring more perspective to the table. Thank you for sharing.

Including the "little" guy from Elko who posted up these threads to "stir-the-pot" knowing "he" could NEVER do it, but KNEW there was SOMEONE out there that COULD!...

POW-DER-CREW!... POW-DER-CREW!... POW-DER-CREW!...:whoo:
