Al Franken sucks azz

Because Rush, O'Reilly, Hannity are any better. Did you hear the stuff those guys said about Obama?

Yes I did hear. I listened very carefully when Oreily interviewed Obama and thought Oreily treated him fairly. It was by far the best/hardest Obama faced during the entire campaign. Everyone else asked him how he liked his freaking waffles or what kind of doggie they were getting the kiddies.

I really hope you don't think George Bush (either) is a Capitalist....

Lot's of things I don't like about Bush....lots. But I still am grateful for him over the other two choices, "He betrayed his country" Gore and "When I was in Vietnam" Kerry...:p And no, I don't think Bush has got this capitalist thing nailed down either. But, off topic.

But, ya'll need to support the stuff you say.

Don't know how to tell you this (again), but peeps have (again). You just tend to gloss over it..again. What, if the fact given isn't a fact the way you like facts served, it's not a fact? That's just lame, and that, sir, is a fact. You're insufferable sometimes....

where and how is Norm a criminal?

From wiki:

[edit] Position on marijuana issues

Coleman recently made this statement about marijuana legalization: "I oppose the legalization of marijuana because, as noted by the Office of National Drug Control Policy, marijuana can have serious adverse health affects on individuals. The health problems that may occur from this highly addictive drug include short-term memory loss, anxiety, respiratory illness and a risk of lung cancer that far exceeds that of tobacco products. It would also make our transportation, schools and workplaces, just as examples, more dangerous."[44] According to Coleman's former college classmate Norm Kent,([6]) a dreadlocked Coleman smoked and dealt marijuana regularly in his college years and was an outspoken opponent of drug busts.[45]

Deep Marine Technologies/Hays Cases
In late October, 2008, Coleman was listed as a beneficiary of ethically-suspect activity in a lawsuit filed in Texas by Paul McKim, CEO of Deep Marine Technologies (DMT) against Nasser Kazeminy. Kazeminy is a longtime supporter of Coleman and owner of a controlling share of DMT. [74]. The petition alleges that Kazeminy used DMT to funnel $75,000 or more to Coleman's wife Laurie through her employer, Hays Companies, in order to enrich Senator Coleman. Exhibits filed with the petition show what appear to be multiple Hays invoices for services to DMT in amounts of $25,000 each. McKim states that Kazeminy threatened to fire McKim if he did not go along with the scheme. McKim's petition covers several issues, of which the Coleman matter is only one. Neither Coleman nor his wife are named as defendants in the suit.[75]
On Friday, October 31, a related suit was filed in Delaware Chancery Court by minority shareholders in DMT. The Delaware suit also alleges that DMT was used as a conduit for unearned funds to Laurie Coleman through Hays Companies, at the behest of Kazeminy. As in the Texas case, the Colemans are not named as defendants. [76]
Coleman responded with a campaign ad in which he denied the allegations and blamed them on his opponent in the 2008 senate race, Democrat Al Franken. [77]

To me, he looks like not only a criminal, but a hypocrite.

^^^ EXACTLY

I could go file a lawsuit right now claiming that Obama flew the planes into the trade center by remote control and it caused me mental anguish. Doesn't mean its true and doesn't mean I'll win, but I can file it.

2001400EX : It seems at though you are out on a Republican bashing conquest and it doesn't matter who has that R next to their name and conversely it doesn't seem to matter who had a D next to theirs (you seem to like them).

What I'm trying to say is look into it just a little deeper than that.

No, I did not support Franken on my comments, I just wanted to know if people don't like him or his policies and what poeple know about his policies. I read a couple of his books and I think he is really arrogant.

But from the little I know about Coleman, he used to smoke pot but now is againt it. And for the lawsuit, I guess callilng him a criminal is a bit harsh.

I do think it is funny though, there was a huge thread on here about Obama not being born in America, PURELY based on a lawsuit. So, think what you want, but ya'll Republicans can use that lawsuit against Obama, but then support this one.

Don't go pointing out inconsistencies in argument logic..... bad form, bad form,.. :p

But from the little I know about Coleman, he used to smoke pot but now is againt it. And for the lawsuit, I guess callilng him a criminal is a bit harsh.-hell so did Clinton! Hate to say it, but I bet lots of folks in Norms generation smoked......and gasp get this.....

Norm used to be a Democrat:eek:

Comments from an old roommate and proof that has stood up in court and helped to prove a crime are very different.

If super b says I got wasted one night that doesn't mean I'm an alcoholic nor prove I was waster.

So Franken position is ???

Increase taxes for??

Abortions to birth?

Legalizing drugs?

Lower the inheritance tax threshold?

Let all the tax cuts expire under the Bush presidency?

Free pass to illegal immigrants?

What else is he for?

It is true, I saw you wasted at the Pier 65 mulitple times....

But there is a difference between Clinton and Norm, Clinton did not inhale...

franken sucks

man, did i light the fuse. pretty sensitive topic in mn, but someone a few posts back said something about checks and balances. that is a huge reason franken can't win. if the dems get a majority so they can run away w/ their agenda, we're 100 times more f'd than we are already with obama and his crew in office.

another reason he can't win is his support for the unions and this privacy act that franken and obama want to pass.

we would have a resurgence in unions which would be horrible for job creation and the economy in general.

they're well on their way to destroying this country.

this is an interesting post too:

Minnesota Recount: Team Franken glad their supporters are uneducated?posted at 7:53 am on November 20, 2008 by Ed Morrissey
Send to a Friend | Share on Facebook | printer-friendly This has to be a first. In explaining why he believes Al Franken will prevail in the recount, a lawyer volunteering for Team Franken says that Franken voters are less educated and therefore more ignorant about how to fill in a bubble on a ballot. No, I’m not kidding:
Even the observers and lawyers have been instructed by their respective campaigns to not talk to the media. But Minneapolis lawyer Bill Starr, who is volunteering for the Franken campaign, was willing to say a few words. He said he thinks Franken will prevail. His hunch is based on a theory he has.
“People who voted for Coleman are more likely to have taken the SAT in their lifetime,” he said. “They’ve filled in circles. Franken voters are probably not college-educated. They’re new voters and immigrants. They’ve been brought in by groups like ACORN, from the inner cities. They’re more likely to make mistakes. I’ve bounced this off of minority people, and they agree with me.”
The “minority people” agree with him? Which “minority people” would that be? And what exactly did Starr mean by immigrants? Is he admitting that Franken and ACORN enticed non-citizens to vote?
Perhaps Starr might now understand why Franken’s team wants people to stop talking to the press.
For the record, of course, Minnesotans do not get their first exposure to optical-scan systems with the SAT. Students use Scantron-like forms throughout their education, just as they do everywhere. And even recently naturalized citizens and new voters can usually manage to grasp the concept of filling in a bubble.
But does Team Franken? They challenged this ballot yesterday as unclear on voter intent:

Apparently, the challenge relies on the fact that there is both an X and a “squiggle” in the bubble. Franken’s team must be arguing that the voter intended to cancel his/her vote for Coleman and leave the Senate race without a vote. Would that not undermine completely the idea of “undervotes” that Franken has been pushing for the last two weeks? Besides, if this voter wanted to “cancel” the vote, he or she would have just gotten a fresh ballot, which is an option clearly stated in the polling booths.
This is a desperation move, and Minnesotans should take a good look

true MN schools have you filling out bubbles in like 1st grade.

And yes this is a very touchy subject in MN. We've seen what California politics has done to Cali, WA, MT and other western states.

MN is all ready a screwed up socialist state, we don't need folks from hollywood messing it up even more.

And B, I don't recall seeing you at the Pier so I must have been wasted.....I didn't dance did I?:beer;

franken

the only state worse to run a business in other than minnesota, is california.

so many f'd up laws the stupid *** liberals have put forth.

one surrounding wrongful termination and discrimination lawsuits in the work force in CA says that if the plaintiff is awarded $1 or more, the defendant pays the entire legal bill for the plaintiff.

what this means, as it happened to our company, someone brings forth a bull**** wrongful termination lawsuit to you for 100k, and threatens you with running up the tab w/ specialists up and out your yingyang to the tune of
300k...unless you settle for some "acceptable" amount. So you settle for 20k just to make the problem go away and not risk 300k, plus whatever they'd get of the 100k.

So now, you're just giving money away to take a .22 cal bullet, when you could potentially take a .50 cal.

and then see what happens when the workers tell each other this is the law in CA.

this practice becomes 50 times more profitable than actually working for a living. seems to be a lot of this bs going around america lately; people working harder to not work at all.

I take it Frankin came out the winner.
He can't be more of a duche then Collman.

dude, a friend of mine is a democratic precinct committeeman here in chicago (south side), he's already apologizing for franken, says he's an embarrassment to the party and will likely make the party look like a bunch of fools as he is a media hog and can't keep his big mouth shut... and he claims he's not alone in that thought either... lotsa dems in chicago don't want him to win cuz he's such a tool

What's with the "ya'll Republicans"...?

Now don't be lumping all us conservatives into one big heap...You sound like a lib when you do that. Just because some people went dumb, clouding the real issues (and oh, we know he's got plenty of those, don't we.... ;):p) with nonsense, doesn't mean we're "inconsistent". It just means the shallow ones can shout too.

Notice I never said Obama was born outside the US. or much less posted in that thread.

True dat...^^^^
