2025 Ski-Doo Rumors and Predictions

I think thats a setting on your phone allowing that app to go to sleep and disconnect. I can leave my go app open on the table and it will not go to sleep and lock the phone, I have a iphone 13, and my app has the latest update.

If the phone goes to sleep its fine doesn't disconnect. if I actually press the lock button on the side ( which I do out of habit ) it will disconnect. Galaxy S23

I find it amusing that the majority of posts here are a wishlist for better integration of a smart phone. My opinion? Forget the phone. Carry an inReach, Spot, etc if you are concerned about an emergency. There is so much to be said about unplugging from that ever present screen in your life when in the mountains. That’s one of the draws of the back country for me. Crazy times we live in.

Yes! Forget the phone. If I ever end up snowchecking a big screen it will most likely be because Skidoo doesn’t give another option and I will only use buddy tracking if it’s integrated. Shouldn’t you learn the zone before you go into it? Shouldn’t you count on the buddy system if something goes wrong. Phones die, electronics fail, screen cracks or dies, and **** happens so how can you ensure this is your best option? Are we all so addicted to our phones that we can’t step away from them to play in the most fun conditions on earth? While I can I’ll save the screen money for gas.

What makes you think your preferred experience in the mountains should be the same for everyone? You embrace all other forms of technology from in reach , to what your wearing and the sled your riding except for phones for map use? Seems like a weird flex. If you really want to flex on us go back to a 1994 summit 136 .95 track lug in your leather snowmobile suit. Perhaps don’t concern yourself with what others want from the manufacturer to make their experience better.
