2025 Ski-Doo Rumors and Predictions

I agree with all of this. I'm just extremely surprised that so many would rather have a screen before a more mechanical, suspension advancement, less weight, hell even a big n/a like 9r. Mind blown. I can't believe there's even a poo left to buy cause they got a killer display 😁
You mistake is in assuming that the instrumentation is coming at the expense of other features. It's not an 'either or' thing.

BINGO!
It is NOT an EITHER/OR situation.
The electronics design team likely has absolutely nothing to do with the track guys or the turbo development team.
Chances are good they are all working mostly independent of each other simultaneously.

That is true but they also like to trickle stuff out to milk people every year. If they give it all at once people are pissed about bng.

I wouldn't call "make my ski doo handle like my Polaris so it is as easy for me to ride a prediction. I am Well aware my opinion is worth💩. If the thread was compare my ski doo too my Polaris I wouldn't have even open it.
It's a 25 prediction thread. You're gonna get everything.
Came from cat, to a gen4 and hated it. Switched to a g5 Lynx and it's better but I still struggle with control on it. Doo has amazing engine, accessories, good fit and finish and amazing dealer network. That's what's kept me. But not being open to hear what other sleds offer is a bit "head in the sand" honnestly

My biggest grip with the gen5 (Lyxn ds anyways and felt similar on the gen4) is that they just don't get up on the snow and seem tractionless in slow speed maneuvers compared to the other brands. I think alot of it is with the full tunnel cooling and maybe the snow that builds on them, and they dig holes everywhere. I'm not a little guy, so I'm sure it's compounded in comparison.

I'd like to know if they are working on front only mounted cooler and if they have the capacity to keep the turbos cool enough with a shorter cooler.

The Lynx has very limited amount of adjustment also, so that limits the setup options with stock equipment

Mic drop. I don't have a problem with any manufacturer. I simply stated correctly that make my ski doo a Polaris isn't a prediction. I absolutely unequivocally understand what the definition of opinion is, also can use it in a sentence. My opinion means nothing, to anyone but me also clearly stated earlier. My head hurts from defending an opinion, I clearly know isn't a fact. Nothing I have said can be justifiably ATTACKED BECAUSE IT IS MY OPINION, IT CAN'T BE STRICKENED.

You can't be giving your opinion on here. Snowest is for facts only.

alright, this isn’t a prediction but something I’d like to see and there’s somewhat of a precedent.i had this thought the first time I rode a mountain sled a few years ago because of my many years of riding stand up jet skis.
my thought on that ride was that the sled’s tunnel and gas tank are completely in the way. on a stand up, there’s nothing betwixt yer feet so you can place them where they need to be instantly when carving turns, jumping etc.
what if sleds were the same? no need for hopovers because there’s nothing to hop over. the precedent is the widescape. they figured out how to do it but my version would keep the front end the same as a modern sled.
operating a sled in the backcountry requires constant shifting of weight but the sled itself is in the way of doing that.
as for a seat, I’d be fine without one.
we’d all be doing tricks and **** like you read about in Snowmobile Tricks quarterly.
obviously there’s engineering challenges but that’s what engineers are for.
we’d be doing the equivalent of what these fools are doing on day 1, week 1.

Lee stone is impressive. 2018 was the last time we were at the world finals
I was never that good and those professional machines have insane power to weight ratios as they’re all carbon fiber . modern 4 stroke kawi and yami stand ups are lame and are practically boats with a handle pole. they’re huge. got my first ski when I was 12, grew up on a bayou with close proximity to a tug boat- laden ship channel where those things threw massive wakes. 6ft or more when they poured the coals on which they would do for us so they could watch. not much further down the channel was the gulf for surf riding. I practically lived on those damn things. rode most of the winter too when I wasn’t goose hunting with the old trusty Ithaca 10 gauge but I digress as usual.

I've got 2 sxrs'. One stock and one blowsion did up for me with an 840. Also a krash foot rocket with just a 701 and a krash 50 cal with an 1100 dasa. We always ran the Yellowstone river in high water and played in the rapids until water got low. Then you would tear stuff up. There is a reason those rapids are there. I would have raced them if it was closer. Now my problem is my shoulders are bad and i pay dearly if i ride them.

damn that’s some nice skis.
I’ve got an SXRas well bored out to 850 with a bunch of other mods to include some Blowsion stuff. it’s essentially set up for a slalom course and the acceleration and arm pulling rivals my turbo sled. It’s insane.
Buddy has a Rikter which is an absolute blast. It’s the closest you’ll ever get to riding a magic carpet. It’s tiny in comparison and stupid powerful. It goes where you point it before you even think about it.
Don’t ride much anymore tho. The miles per gallon on it is incredibly bad.
Blows ion is about 40 min from me.
I grew up in and on the water and a past career had a lot to do with water so I’d have a hard time choosing between being on a stand up in the surf or being in some deep pow in the hills.

The problem of course, is that it

#1. Requires your cell phone to be plugged into it.
#2. More often than not fails to instantly resync anytime you disconnect the cell phone to use it and then plug it back in.
and #3, all too often requires a manual reconnection of the BRP Go App to the Sled, as the sled fails to see the phone at all.

MAJOR PITA from a guy who loves the tech.
I thought it was just me, if I hit the lock button on my phone. disconnects. If i sit to long and restart sometimes disconnects and sometimes requires rigamarole of turning sled off, unplugging phone, plugging both back in, restarting sled. Its so annoying that its not worth it, I would rather just ride and not give rip about it.

Then I want to make a phone call and have to dig my phone out of the glove box and hope to not piss off the big display gods because the damn thing is tethered to it.. to where it disconnects itself and have to do the dance again.

I like the big display but its a total POS in regards to requiring the phone... its useless.

I'm installing my trail tech this week finally, and will probably not ever bother with any of the GPS **** on the big display again.

I think thats a setting on your phone allowing that app to go to sleep and disconnect. I can leave my go app open on the table and it will not go to sleep and lock the phone, I have a iphone 13, and my app has the latest update.
