2025 Ski-Doo Rumors and Predictions

Some of you guys kill me, the doo gauge also has tracks, elevation, waypoints etc, it also has buddy tracking with a group ride in cell service. Learn to use it, but you don’t have one, so your opinion is invalid.
Which clearly means that in MOST MOUNTAIN LOCATIONS it DOESN"T WORK>
And that is the Gripe right there.

And its a 100% VALID COMPLAINT.

For the moment, POLARIS and CAT are both offering the mountain community BETTER MORE FUNCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY.

That said, I FULLY EXPECT BRP will resolve this issue!

Next complaint will be the doo gauge sucks because it will not buddy track with the 7S when embedded maps integration with a GPS radio is available on the 10.25. Want a 7S? Buy a Polaris.

Honest question; do you have some sort of involvement in the app/screen development? You seem to be relentlessly defending them for what appears to be no benefit. Great if it works well for you.
Perhaps just accept the fact the majority find it to be what it is: an overpriced, half baked and glitchy attempt that fell short of consumer expectations.

Another thread derailed by the 'big screen'. lol
I think a significant part of brp's resistance to change is the fact that they use their screens, small and large, across multiple product lines. Sea doos, SxS' etc.
They have a lot invested into software, wiring, dash plastics.

Nope, not at all. Just happy that there is a better option and, I work with what’s given to us.

What’s the point in getting bent out of shape and complaining about something that is totally out of our control?
Is the doo gauge perfect? Far from it, it’s a better gauge than the 4.5” so I am happy with what it is.
With the glitches and short comings, it does work for me, and I have done without a fancy gauge for years and rode sleds just fine.

It’s not a Polaris gauge, period, but doo does not have the recalls that Polaris has.

Consumer feedback. Mfg's definitely read these comments. One can hope that actually somewhat influences their decisions. Those frenchies are a stubborn bunch tho.
And well, this is a sled forum on a low snow year.

Fancier, sure. Functionally better, not really. As far as gauge for sled info, you're not really getting any more info than the 2 button. If you're after the navigation, you can pick up a far superior standalone name brand touchscreen gps for about half the cost of the upgrade. If you want buddy tracking, you can buy 2 TT's for the cost of the upgrade.

I can agree with this though. What used to be an aid is becoming a dependence. What happened to keeping track of your buddies and reading the terrain.

and as far as I can tell it does NOT CHARGE your phone while connected
I can confirm, mine does NOT charge my phone. it may but the BRP App uses so much juice way faster than the phone can charge.

I started with 100% battery today, rode like 3 hours. its down to 70% and was plugged into the dash the entire time with the heated bag thing going.

I added the other Ski Doo USB auxiliary ports on the other side in the glove box n( the one that doesn't go to the big display ), it charges my phone.

I just double checked at home. my phone CLAIMS its charging when connected to the big gauge. But the last 2 rides its gone from 100% to 50% and 75% in the last 2 rides while running the brp go app... and they were short rides.

I'm done connecting my phone to my Lynx or using BRP's stupid mapping. I put a trail tech on it. that doesn't need a dang phone. ( that big map is so nice though )

If BRP doesn't resolve the issue in 3 weeks, I am going to try installing Garmin's new TREAD units.
Just was not impressed with the Trail Tech.

Have a tread in my Can Am SXS

No one else has one. lol

I think? some of the higher end artic cats use Garmin tread?

All these sled companies need to on this one thing STOP trying to make a buck and think about safety and being able to see every buddy. without a phone.

If there was any one thing these brands should share, is this buddytracking tech... for safety and progression of the sport.

How did we survive the days with no buddy tracking, gps, and i pads on snowmobiles? Oh we had fun riding sleds and didn’t sit around bitching that I can’t see my buddy on my screen. Don’t know how you sally’s survive in life.
After listening to all the bitching and moaning about the new gauge I got to use mine for the first time in the Snowies. No glitches, instantly linked with my phone, and showed way better map detail than the 7s maps.

20 yrs ago the sleds simply couldn't get us into the places we go now.
Todays sleds allow us to get into much worse situations.

There is nothing wrong with the proper application of Technology.
But then, if you prefer feel free to go back a Carbureted Greasy Triple, and all the special joys associated with those "Low-Tech" engines.;)

Geez now you will want a self driving snowmobile to get you in the backcountry. My god just go ride and have fun.
