Funny, I'm a yes on both of those. But obviously in the minority. For example, is there anyone that would buy a sled with a 2.75 now that we know the 3.25 is durable and doesn't trench as bad as the 3"?
Is there anyone who sees a 7s that then says no, I only want the pidd?
I think you won't see the 9R turbo until the 850na is replaced by the 9R. Maybe 9R in a XCR trail sled this season. But what do I know lol9R turbo
You should cut all the lugs off your track. You'll get way more track speed. Thr 2.75 is absolute junk and makes the sled leave so much on the table. As for screen some people ride really technical terrain where if you aren't 100' from someone you aren't going to hear them and 20' you aren't going to see them. I thought the same as you on the gauge until I was forced to have one on the Boost. I would pay $2k more just to have the gauge now.Funny, I'm a yes on both of those. But obviously in the minority.
- 2.75" = quickest track speed, which I like
- standard gauge = cheaper/lighter, and as my old time sled buds say, if you can't see and hear your buddy, you're not riding with him.
Well being that Andy posted he is riding one that is a Boosted, I think Polaris is building them now. None of his videos he posted of working on sleds, showed any sign of installing big bore kits.I think you won't see the 9R turbo until the 850na is replaced by the 9R. I'll never forget when our absolute nastiest sled bud severed his 2.6" axys track and replaced it with the 2.4". He was so excited and said he preferred it in the super tech. Simple…. We don’t have doos that ride with usI'll never forget when our absolute nastiest sled bud severed his 2.6" axys track and replaced it with the 2.4". He was so excited and said he preferred it in the super tech. YMMV.
Radios are #1 for comms/awareness, and what do you do about the doo buddies? I guess they all just have to buy Trail Tech aftermarket so they can be included in the 7S bro group.

I made a mistake and sold my 23 Khaos and got a 24 Freeride. Might have to snowcheck a 25 Khaos...Friends don't let friends ride Ski Doos.
Too busy being trenched out, stuck high centered, digging holes to china to keep up anyway.Simple…. We don’t have doos that ride with us
Way more fun when everyone rides different stuff. Cat is back in the mix. I just rode my daughter's catalyst and, for the snow we were in, the 24 9r 155 325 felt like a boat anchor. I was shocked. The doo/poo banter never gets old I do sure hope Polaris and Skidoo don’t become one, we might just get the sickest turbo 850 from doo, in the the best chassis to date, the Matryx…
Wait, that would be pretty dope right? Nah, we wouldn’t be able to maintain the doo/poo banter.
Nevermind, not worth it
Look at that intakeThe factory Polaris race hood needs to be in the parts catalogue for 2025. These look mean!
New chassis!!!! Most are the same for years longer with tweaks...matrix is axys with stamped tunnel and narrowed plastics which is in turn a narrowed raised provide chassis....same for brp and the rest..Wonder what season Polaris will release their new chassis? It's been 4 years on the Matryx trail sleds and only 3 in the mountain sleds. Do they go for 2-3 more seasons on the Matryx. Usually a 5-6 year cycle. Wonder what Nels is working on..
I messed up got the 2.75 since I figured I would blow a 3.25 apart on the trail to the hills, we have a few 3 mile straight aways where we can open it up and cruise at 70 to just get to the goods in the mountains quick and my east coast buddies rip it like its a lake while I'm not a speed demon and keep it at 60 mph, I'll open up to 90mph rarely but don't like going that fast on a mountain sled. I figured track speed and crappy snow would be better on the 2.75. I thought the sponsored guys were just talking it up because they had to.They wouldn't have a bunch of sleds sitting if they let dealers stock what we want.
