2025 Rumors

I’ve been riding the 325, 275 and 2.6 a lot this season and I would only go 325 for my type of riding and conditions. Any actual rumours for 2025?

I’d like to see Ski-Doo share their Shot starter in exchange for Polaris’ Trail Tech 7S display!! The 7S is a must for me would be dope for sure!!
Shot/7s exchange would be dope!

Agree but they can't do it until they have another new replacement. They can't tell the customer they scrapped it and went back to the one they built in 1985

Exactly. I was only referring to the fix. What they need is plan to take the proper action to address the fix.

That would involve admitting there is a problem.

Yeah. I wouldn’t expect the promo video to say, “we listened and threw the P-22 in the trash can” with a clip of a clutch being hucked in the scrap bin.

But it would be cool.

No way- I mean, SHOT would be cool, but if I was Polaris, it should not be a straight across trade. Group ride is worth way more than SHOT. And if Polaris has a lock on the patent, they’ve got a serious advantage over ski doo for years to come. It’s a safety thing too. We’ve had times where we could talk on the radio, but couldn’t find each other. Made for some anxiety as the darkness approached. A guy died in Revelstoke this year, and what I heard was that his group could talk to him on the radio as well. I think there was more to that story, but still, seeing everybody’s location AND how they got there is huge. Absolute game changer.

Shot doesn't work without DI.

Only thing that they could possibly do is using the generator as starter, but without the possibility to inject fuel directly in to the combustion chamber it would most likely have to be way to oversized.
I think a e-start that connects to the motor instead of the primary would be a good start. But that includes a lot of reengineering on the motors i guess.

Polaris already has a good platform. The biggest thing they need is to build on the platform. Fix all these little problems, seems like every year something new. Clutches, Brakes,Hyfax and ETC. First make something that holds up, stick to what works. The platform flat works and is light.

They scrapped the 900 and went back to the ol' 800! They scrapped the sharp bar hooks for the old hooks.
Funny they haven't scrapped the 2.75 yet with all the sh!t talk on here but then again they still use the same crappy throttle block.

Polaris e-start with lithium battery works very well. No need for shot.

I have shot on freeride and had it on my 2020 expert. It's the only thing I miss and wish I could have on my boots.

The spider must be fixed to the center tube. There is a constant pressure and hammering under the spider and it is fatiguing the bolt. Only redesigning the clutch to accomodate fastening the spider, will work. Or all crank shafts need to be redrilled and rethreaded to accomodate a much larger, stronger clutch bolt. I am not sure how much material there is to work with in the end of the crank shaft?? One rider I know has broken 3 bolts this season on his 24 Boost. They are all just a ticking time bomb.

I have read that somewhere else too, however I don’t understand why DI is required if a Polaris motor is still able to reverse without it. I’m assuming its because the port injected fuel settles too quickly and needs the DI to give the engine something to burn after the sled has been sitting for a bit, but is there anything else?

SHOT works better, is less weight, and less maintenance than e-start.
Shot doesn't work better. Estart you don't ever pull the rope. It is just another way to skin a cat. Definitely way lighter. They have also had their share of problems but Definitely fewer and farther between.
