Fair enough. Always exciting picking up a new sled. I've ordered a new sled almost every year for the last 20 years, and the excitement never fades.

On the larger lug Polaris tracks, they limit the groomed trail ground speed so they don't delaminate and spit lugs.
Are the Ski-Doo tracks similar?
If not, why not?

I am not aware of any Doo published speed limit.
But I sure as heck wouldn't go fast on a HARD PACKED SURFACE.
I am sure that track WOULD OVERHEAT..

Track speed derate happens about 78 mph

doo manual states no faster than 45mph on hard pack. makes one wonder about how many people complain about losing lugs but also had no idea there was a max speed in subpar conditions.

I find it hard to believe that with the new gen v turbo that owners don’t bounce of the speed limiter as fast as it gets there. Track is a wearing item gone are the days of track lasting the life of the sled. Enjoy the power and pin it.

A track can be built to last. My 2019 Polaris 174 has a 3" series 7 track. Not everybody's favorite track, but that thing is tough. Over 5000 kms on it and it still looks new. My 23 series 8, 2.75" lug track looks worse and it only has 1100 kms on it.

I saw a summit hce being built at my dealer today, not mine but it looks so good. I would put a pic on here but my pic is no different than others. Skidoo needs to have a yellow x or expert it’s just so fitting.

Doo says in the manual 50mph max on the trails.
