2015 Pro 163 RTR weight?

So 32-ish pounds difference, but that's 155 Pro vs 163 Doo. So maybe 25 difference 163 to 163. That's great....they did upgrades and dropped weight!

Also worth noting with RTR weights that the Pro holds more fuel...can't remember how much, maybe 1-1.5 gals ish? So that could be 6-10 lbs there. Splitting hairs I suppose.

Ace...probably DROP weight as the mounting is completely built into the cases and there are no straps or strap hardware... motor bolt to the chassis directly (with built in elastomeric mounts of course) on the AXYS 800HO's.

I think that the lighter crankshaft will have it weigh less and the Exhaust valve system is a "wash" when it comes to weight.

The goal is lighter and more powerful... If they can make that goal... marketing will be much more successful... and THAT is what motivates corporations!

To speculate - if the chassis is updated as well (which seems likely), I can't imagine it will get heavier - y'know?

I would think the same as MH and JN, But I know that the etech and cat motors are 15 lbs heavier than the Poo motor.. so that's why I was wondering if you thought it was gong to be heavier!

There is a rumor running around that the Axys mountain chassis will come in under 400 lbs. What was the weight loss from Pro to Axys on the flatlander sleds? That might give some indication of the kind of drop that could be coming.

Wow! Now THAT'S interesting!

Per Polaris website:

2014 Rush Pro R - all models - 464 lbs
2015 Rush Pro X and Pro S - 431 to 435 lbs.

That's a drop of over 30 lbs from the Pro to the Axys chassis!

2014 Switchback Pro R, all models - 484 lbs.
2015 Switchback Pro X and S - 446 to 450 lbs

That' a drop of about 35 lbs from the Pro to the Axys chassis!

If that's an indicator of what might happen in the mountain chassis , hold onto your hats, boys!!

If they only managed to get 1/2 of that from the mountain chassis that takes it to 400 lbs. If they get it all, that puts it down to 385!!!!

VERY INTERESTING INDEED!

I agree with Kanedog...IF the new Pro comes out under 4 bills, WITH the HO motor pumping out 160ish hp, its game, set, match.... and I ride a Doo!

I am not sure but I think a lot of that weight loss on the Axys is from the re-design of the rear suspension. having said that does anyone know where most of the weight was lost

same here, was standing on a axys and really like the shorter nose and narrow feeling, the current pro feels awkward to me and too long in front of the bars, like my old zx,2016 will be a huge year for polaris in the mtn segment

Pretty soon owners manuals will come with RTR weight calculators.

It does not take into account up to 60% of the actual on the snow weight (the rider) or if he or she decides to go to a smorg the morning of, or is constipated, or has a water retention period, or picks a heavy helmet, or forgot to empty their pockets of toll coins.
In no way are we liable if you happen to be a big person or if you have a friend that is one of those skinny mini's that eats chocolate all day and stays skinny or if you sweat a lot. Our lawyers are better paid than yours so nya nya.

Note: It took a lot of time to put these weights on paper so you can discuss on the internet or where ever. We know we are the lightest and the rest are still trying to catch up.
So, if you change anything to add or subtract weight, like a can or aftermarket bumpers or different windshield or track or vents or just about anything you people do to these perfectly fine sleds, WE WILL DENY WARRANTTEE because you wasted our time figuring out these fricken weights!!!

Ride safe and enjoy your new toy.

** When comparing your new Pro weight to a 4s it's mandatory that you add E-start and a 20lb sack of potatoes to keep things somewhat fair.
