2015 Pro 163 RTR weight?

Must be a secret. I'd like to know too. It's always fun to see the difference every year. Usually someone in here weighs them so they can brag how light the Pro is.

^ According to that Yamaha/Cat video, the 2014 Ski Doo is 576lbs RTR.

So if you compare that with the 163" T3 stock weight of 546lbs posted be "Farmer" in that thread I linked above (which I trust more than a video from another manufacturers marketing dept)....the Doo lost 30lbs since last year, despite adding a 3" track. Obviously that didn't happen, or Doo would be pushing that like no tomorrow.

So I think those Pol and Doo RTR weights in the AC/Yamaha vid are definitely on the heavy side.

Another thing....having owned an XP....I would saying weighing a Doo "full of fuel" will be all over the map on actual fuel amount. Most people have never had those tanks full and don't even know it, cause you have to burp the stupid thing to fit the last 1/4 of fuel in.

I am not saying they are correct numbers, I have no clue. Being its a yamaha commercial I would think they are set to favor the yamaha. However it is one place that has weights posted.

I start the day with only 1/2 tank so I can brag that my sled is the lightest.... It's really light by the time I need a tow home. All kidding aside, why bother comparing filled weights when a gallon of fuel adds the same to each sled. If that's the argument, lets put smaller tanks on all sleds.

That's what Yamaha did with the nytro. 7 gal tank then wanted to compare "wet weight".

Where's apexnubehind with his half full tank saving 40lbs when you need him.

At 11.5gallons per tank of fuel... @6lbs/Gallon = approx 69 lbs.

Oil in the tank, 3.4Qts.... at approx 1.8lbs/qt=6.12lbs.

Coolant capacity, 5.3 liters at about 2.2lbs/liter = 11.66lbs
On a PRO RMK (no front cooler).

Total fluid weights... not counting shock oil = Approx 86 lbs.
Take the Yamaha video weight of 543 wet (-) 86 lbs.. and come up with 456, which I believe is a bit on the heavy side... a huge difference between the weights that have been provided on the forums here... So for me, the video does not seem to be accurate.

So... It will be interesting to see a weight of the actual sled wet...

I would expect the 2015 to carry less snow.

Well, I have a scale - if you are in the Grand Junction Colorado area bring that sucker over and let's weigh it. I keep threatening to weigh mine (2014)but haven't drug the scale out to do it. I have beer - that oughta help the accuracy!

I would like to see 15 rmk le vs 15 pro rmk le on the same scale with the same options.
