2015 Polaris Pro rumors

Just a few little refinements would be nice.
Cat needs to start over! my bud bleeds green and he's gonna trade his 2013 pro-climb in on a poo or doo. His pro-climb broke down 3 of 6 rides this year.
and about 5 of 15 rides last year. I fu(k'n hate that sled!
It's wrecked way to many killer days of ours.

im thinking new engine announcement for 2015 or perhaps they just tell us thye will be having a new engine come 2016? who knows, rumor has it brp will be implementing the new plastic sea-doo came out for its hulls (super light super strong plastic not 100% sure on details) on their sleds and drop a ton of weight in 2015 or 2016. with that rumor flying around it makes sense that polaris is going to have bump their 800 up 20 + to meet cat and ski-doos hp

They are all scrambling to get a bigger piece of the global market now, which is where the opportunity is to capture share and volume. Translation - expect less pure performance-based competition driven by North American consumer demand - they will, and have to, follow the money. Major new product innovation will be slower in the next five years. Sure, they'll be a new model or two, but poo will lag doo - they have global market share leadership, and just like to stick the spurs in when they are in the lead. Good chance AC and yammie will also come out with more new than poo.

SNOWMOW needs to lighten up , I can't see AC being around much longer with the financial shape they are in. What you guna ride then sir.

Don't worry your little head about what I will ride. I'm not.

The new sleds will be at the press event this weekend..... I'm sure we'll see some leaks.

My guess for the 15 RMK's.

If it works... why fix it.

What are major complaints with the current sled... not many.

2013, not many complaints on engine reliability. 2014 seems the same.

Skis.... seems to be an issue for agressive riders folding up when "stuffing" the sled into a turn... easy fix there.

Keeping the sled similar but refined.

I think some QuickDrive.2 mods... something along the lines of an idler... driveshaft refinements along with bearing plate tolerance tightening up.

Since the engine meets 2015 EPA regs... not much change there....maybe a lightweight 4 stroke with tech gleaned from Swiss partners...
I could be way off base here, but a DI engine would cost more and thus lower profits as consumers still choose based on price.... which I see increasing this year in all brands.

Maybe some narrowing in the bodywork, with some changes in tunnel bulkhead interface.

I think that the rider position, or rather... position availability.... my play a role in the 15.

Lighter is better... so the engineers at Roseau are probably working hard there... Maybe we'll see a significantly lighter skid? Fuel tank/console integration?

Refined but still recognizable.

We'll see for sure in a couple of months.

I'd like to see Polaris entertain a truly capable, lower priced, entry-level mountain sled. A 550 fan cooled sled with belt drive, seat and running boards and a 146" series 5.1 suspended by a good coilover (or air) skid. 395lbs... Something to get the kids riding sleds... good ones.

Maybe just a true "Limited edition" series sled... with some trick components like Floats front and rear, some exotic materials and killer graphics/paint for the 60th.

Eric, like I said...that surface coating (plus maybe that cooling system in the tunnel is going to need to be addressed at some point.
I like how the new cats have so little snow built up on them.

2nd that, money talks. Many holdover rmks lately?

2nd that to. Lightweight has been a major win with the pro rmk

Why not. I bet they would sell out. Kids for entry level and a whole bunch of us guys, thinking to install a extremely light-weight liquid cooled engine-cooling system package for the lightest thing yet

Sure. There has to be some anniversary sleds. After the 900 experience, it will be interesting to see how much they dare put into it..

Good guesses Eric.

my guesses for 2015

PRO RMK under 400 lbs. Should be possible with air shocks 3" pitch track lighter mid cowl HID light and a lighter muffler.
DI 600 motor.
RZR 1000 motor with turbo in Rush/Switchback.

i wonder what it will do price wise as they prob wll go up in $$$$ like they do every yr just to ride them only 3months thats just crazy what they list them for i no its not just me that r complaining bout price

I don't know why people complain about the price of a new sled. Buy a used one. Nobody is putting a gun to any ones head and forcing them to buy new sleds every year. Poo is probably the best sled maker out right now in terms of offering great entry level sleds at reasonable pricing.

What i would love on my 14? Painted tunnel and assault tunnel brace. Separate switch for thumb and hand warmer in place of the mode/set.

Love it, it really is night and day compared to an iq and i haven't been in the steep and deep yet.

Doo came out with the 4 year warranty, and the sled to beat in the last 2 years, polaris sales are slumping hence the incentives, there going to have to come out with something really specially to compete with that 4 year warranty, 165hp and fit and finish of the doo but if they do come out with something to rival and are willing to back it for 4 years like skidoo ill give it a shot and try it, its getting to the point now where we are riding we hardly see any polaris sleds and all doos so I would take a chance on being the guy on one just to be different.

My 2012 Pro Came with a 4 year warranty for less than what I could have bought a summit for with out the 4 year. I've used it and have never been charged anything on my sled. Great sled and motor.

YES PLEASE

I don't put much stock in the report about BRP using jet ski hull plastic on their snowmobiles. I don't believe that it will work in many snowmobile components. Carbon fiber does work in many components but it is expensive. Short of carbon fiber, I don't see plastic tunnels, bulkheads, skids, A-Arms, etc. coming our way from any of the manufacturers.
