JK, thanks for the info. Looks like a quick trip in the near future!

Snow

Started again this morning...flurries....steady and no wind. Thursday would probably be the best since it should be a bluebird day.

Glad you came out for lunch and beer...always nice to see you guys.

Some pictures on my way back from Sheridan yesterday afternoon.

I'm probably going up Thursday, to burgess junction. Pm me if you want a tag along.probably be up by nine am

Final snow...

Flurries are dying down and we got another 2 inches the last 2 days. It was windy...sun is now out and 30 degree's.

Snow pack

Had 3 guys come in from Burgess side......they said the hwy is plowed about 5 miles from Bear lodge to just before the uphill climb towards fiberglass.

One guy said the snow is compacting down about 8-10 inches as he was floating across it.

They had lunch and went out to explore more. They said they will come back for lunch and update me tomorrow.

I went up to the south end yesterday, around Webb creek. There is still lots of snow but only about 5 inches of fresh on top of a very hard base.
All in all a great day of spring riding

No tree's were harmed

Guy who said he would be up to go riding never showed...found 2 others to go riding with....I am getting comfortable with my sled......no tree's were cut in the removal of the sled...(Just in case the Forest Service was wondering)

Had a great day in the South End of the Horns. The pictures were taken north of Meadowlark Lake. It was a good day a few times stuck in snow that wasn't set up yet. Been loving my XM even more now that it is broken in!!

Went to the Lovell side today. Snow was actually pretty good for late April, Bald Mtn. Snotel showed 6 inches over night. Rode Bald Mtn area for a while, had fun in the trees, can go anywhere. Then headed to Porcupine Falls, playing on the way, dropped into the bottom. Then climbed out and played our way back to the parking lot. Did get a pretty sticky in the afternoon. Was able to get the 11yr. old stuck once, then later that day he learned a valueble lesson the hard way about approaching creek drainages with extreme caution in flat light situations. Thank you to the group that helped us get him out. And, thank you Dawnie at High Country for lunch. Would thank you too Corey, but you were out playin somewhere!! :face-icon-small-hap

Snow and fun

Would have been nice seeing you but I did say after all the new storms I would be out riding and tearing stuff up...far away from the lodge though...LOL:face-icon-small-win

7 inches snow last night and we are still getting flurries....our wooden fenceline is completely covered

Here are a few pics from yesterday......

Turns out when jumping cornices you should only throttle up a few feet away from the edge and not 40-50 ft!!. It was one heck of a jump and landing....sled and I are ok.:face-icon-small-ton:face-icon-small-blu:face-icon-small-coo

Corie, hit the drift this way, it works better:face-icon-small-hap

Rode couple days in the Horns last week. Good snow if you go looking for it. Most places had a base with 4-6 inch on top...but could find real deep spots in the trees.
Stick to the edges, follow the creeks you will find the good stuff.
