Weekend

This weekend we have snow kiters staying with us, snowmobile riders and the timbersled folks as well. 3 different types of snow users. Should be interesting.

Not sure where skidoorulz went but I was able to stay withing 2 miles of the lodge this morning and get this snow on the short track lodge sled. (Dawnie has mine) It ain't 4 ft deep powder....but still set up nicely and I only got stuck once. There is a 3-5ft base over most of this area especially in the tree lines where most of the snow blew to last weekend.

Snow is holding up...getting warmer though...tomorrow is supposed to be 55 up here....

What is snowchecking?

Snowchecking is when you put money down in the spring on a sled and it gaurantees you get the sled you want. Usually it is a spring only order sled that you are not supposed to be able to get off the showroom floor in the fall. The only glitch is dealers always snowcheck these special sleds using dummy names or names of friends and family who have no intention of buying these spring only sleds. Therefore they are available in the fall

Correct on everything but we don't snowcheck any sleds for our store. The only way we get any is if someone backs out on a snowcheck deal. You also get special financing and a 4 year warranty options along with snowcheck only editions.

Yep what was I thinking? No dealer would ever think about doing that. WINK WINK ;) ;) ;)

snow

Another inch during the day yesterday...people came out of the woodwork...hadn't seen that many (68) in a long time.

I learned that you should NOT come up to a cornice and DROP over the edge......and hitting the throttle at that late in the game does nothing but plant you in the snow below. LOL Both sled and I made it out ok. Glad I had on the tek vest.

Been quiet on here...should I stop posting snow reports? Is anyone really out there anymore?

We're still out there. We are just mowing our lawns waiting for the friday that you post that it snowed all day and got over 24" of new snow. The riding Saturday and Sunday will be great. I haven't given up on that post yet.

We are heading out next week end. Not sure where we are going. Waiting to see where the best riding will be. Still reading your posts....

Updates

OK...will keep making posts...we moved snow away from front of lodge today...out about 75 ft. Have some huge mounds to jump but can't jump them till the next snow storm so you can land safely. Heading to Burgess Jct tomorrow so will take some pics on way back.

Went to Deer Haven today and rode North from there. It is set up very hard but we were able to break through the crust in a few spots and have some fun. It needs a spring storm to bring it back to life though, it's pretty bad.
