I dont know.
as you know the snowies alway's seems to be windy . But this year i have heard of extreme cases of high winds.
And than you take into account the lack of snowfall and you have what used to help stablize trees at there base .. no stabilization .
Thats my guess

The wind was bad last night and through the first part of this morning. It let up after breakfast (around here at least) and the snow picked up. The snow came down hard for a while, it is still snowing right now and is 14 degrees out. We got a solid 6 inches of snow - some places a little more others a little less - depending on where the wind blew. I hope this storm keeps up for a few more hours!

We ended up with 8 inches at our cabin west of Rob Roy. Some of the roads have more others less. It quit snowing when the sun went down and it is down to 10 degrees.

Went up today, the wind uncovered the road and open areas quite a bit. The good news is alot of the blowing snow is settlin in the trees. Hood deep droppn into f/c through the trees, another 2 weeks it will be sweet.

Rob Roy is only 4 to 5 miles north of Albany. From Ryan Park your going to have to put a few miles on.

Possibly headed to the Snowys aka Blowys this weekend, Friday & Sat, we will be breaking in a couple new sled but also want to do more than trail ride. What do you guys think? Wait or go ahead and give it a shot?

If we do go where has the best snow been?

Looks like no snow all week. But it beats staying at home.

Was out in the snowys over the new years weekend just got back this morning. Had a great trip the snow is there you just need to know where to look. We dropped into the 7 fools and snow way over the hood, great snow down there, down south of rob roy found some over the hood snow too. 130 is pretty bear tho. S**t house hill is tracked down but still fun to play on. left yesterday and the snow was still pretty good, i would say if you want to get out and ride, just go for it i had 2 sleds to breakin an i did it and got the itch off my back. i will post pictures soon
