2009 XP first ride 10/11/08--good --bad-- and the ugly

T/A glad you guys made up the hill as well. By the way it doesn't doo much good tinkerig with the clutching until you get a deep load of snow under the sled.

My guess is the TRA will be no different than any other previous year.

i agree with the snow load-:eek:-last year we had a buddy with a head on his xp and racing it didnt help it at all but when we got to some good deep snow it made a heck of a difference..i think the pipe will be the same ..:D

T/A...what are you doing at home?? Get back out there in the white stuff.

tearing 2 walls out in the house and changing the living room and dining room so i'm here dooing honey doos--wifey in NY visiting the family for 3 weeks--got to get it done so when the real snow comes i can RIDE:eek::D

Thanks for sharring Wyoming T/A, It's allways great to get some honest input:beer;:beer;:beer;.Cheers and good season Red Dog.

If it over revs a little on the road thats AOK.....Once in the deep snow the load will drop the R's just a stink to keep your R's just where they should be. After a 100 miles your baseline should be very close to past seasons.....These Doo's stay pretty consistant set-up wise from one year to the next.

My boys are back on the hill as im typing and called to say all tracks got covered overnight with fresh foot..... They will have pic's when they get home. :D

OT--good to see you guys got dumped on---cant wait to doo some real riding--till then we'll be dooing a little more testing---thats what i tell Donna--got to go test:eek::D:face-icon-small-coo i'm sure the horns are well over 2 feet as there was about a foot yesterday morning and its still snowing:beer;:beer;

It's still heading your way T/A i bet central/eastern wyo. will see another foot today...The snow stopped here at around 10am and the temps are warming up making the snow pretty heavy at 6200 feet.

I'll be curious to see if the SLP makes any extra power in the deep snow. When you run the sea level/altitude numbers theres not much of an increase in claimed power..... The trouble still remains AIR, AIR, AIR. And since it's still difficult to get the air into the carbs getting the most out of the SLP my be a struggle and even a blubber, blubber when you least expect it in deep snow.

By the way and no offense intended but that Baby Blue really sucks on that sled. IT AIN'T A YAMAHA FOR CRYING OUT LOUD !!!!!!........The XP in "fire engine red" on the other hand would look smoking hot on the snow if your reading this BRP.

Nice pics T/A but I agree blue doo looks on snow like yammi. Hey OT can you please share your clutch set up and where you bought it. I had my Bday yesterday and I have some $$ for upgrades thanks

Congrats on the baby......You'll need a Team secondary, and a set of "Heavy Hitter Adjustable Arms" for the primary. I like stiff springs and preferably Ti spring that do not fade as fast as the cheap stock springs.....It boils down to what you want your sled to do and how you ride it which should be the factors when deciding.
