2009/2010 Revelstoke Conditions

We rode Boulder/Frisby Fri-Sun, visibility was hit and miss all weekend, Sat was prob the best day as it was fairly clear out. Snow conditions are great for this time of year with -5C to -10C temps. That being said, you have to know where to go as all the common places are pounded out. Tree banging was the best with 2-3 ft of fluff.... we rode fresh tracks every day, very good weekend.

hey eeek factor, how are you likeing the m1turbo ,nice looking ride

Its pretty awesome from what I could tell in a half day, I just started to get it dialed in, and what I thought was a faulty boondocker turned out to be a broken ground wire(frustrating!!!!!) Im going riding this weekend and should only take a little time to get it completely dialed in. Did you get your nytro built? (pics):D

any new info on revy conditions? can you ride from parking lot yet? how many steps @ boulder cabin, or what's the snowstake read? any info would be helpful, planning to come out right in the new year. Thank ahead of time!

Yes riding from the parking areas, all the trails up to the cabin have been put in on Boulder. Still need more snow down low to groom Streeter St. (Boulder/Frisby connector) and the W entrance from the Peaks. Grooming now for wk. days as well and the daily trail passes are back to $15.
There is 9 ft. of snow now at the Boulder cabin. We were up Frisby today, it was snowing hard. We tried to get back to put up the closure signs along the ridge but it was too socked in. Ever seen a Doo come over backwards down a hill with 6-14' 2x4`s being dragged behind it :) Tom is o.k.

Riding alpine on a clear full moon is incredible. no flat light and weird shadows. sleep all day and ride all night. it is worth it.

Rode sat-mon.

They got probably 1.5 feet of fresh in the alpine while we were there.

Warm on monday though. Snowball weather in the alpine. Went from powder to snow bunching up in your skis.

It may be concrete now...

Hear it has set up with the cold, clear, windy weather we have had. :(
More fresh in the forecast for next wk. though.

There is 9 ft. of snow now at the Boulder cabin.
All the trails are being groomed on Boulder now, including the W entrance from Peaks and LaRoy Lane. Not enough snow to groom Streeter St. (Boulder/Frisby) connector completely but it is rideable.
Both mtns. will be groomed on a nightly basis through the holidays.
We won`t be grooming tonight or collecting for Christmas Day, the trails are holding up well with the cold weather.
Full Blue Moon Ride New Year Eve, the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club is providing burgers and dogs, bon fire, fireworks and funny hats. Bring something to share for dessert.
Everyone is welcome to join us, see you there. :D

Travel Safe everyone and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Just wondering if the trail from the parking lot to km 7-8 approx. is still littered with rocks and gravel? Thanks.

Snow isn`t bad at all, even good still in the trees, bluebird today again.
Great conditions for family riding, sure good to see everyone. :D

Rode Tues & Wed, very windy and cold, still lots of great snow if you get off the ridge. Check the avy report and play safe :beer;

We rode Keystone yesterday, ....with consecutive blue bird days. About a foot of fresh powder with spectacular Horr-frost crystals refracting the brillant sunshine, ...wicked ride. Mostly untracked, other than the main corridor.

Great day there for sure.

We are in need of more fresh snow, but conditions are good and it is starting to snow this morning, with snow forecasted for the remainder of the week.

Safe riding and Happy New Years to all.

Approximately eight inchs of new snow in town to shovel off from the driveway and deck today. It is currently snowing lightly, with snow in the forecast for the next several days.

Cheers and HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL

Hey Ron, great riding with you, Laird, and crew on Sunday. Glad you guys got in on the Keystone fresh on Monday!!

I've got to give a HUGE thanks to Neil again for the loaner clutches...saved our trip!! Your generosity is second to none!! Thanks NM!! :beer; :beer; :beer;

Good to see some new snow...cant wait for the next trip.

Rode the last 3 days. There is still fresh snow just have to be adventurous. All of the main drags could use some new snow. There where a pile of sleds up there this week. Snowing when we left.

Cooler temps has formed a hard layer/frost layer. Hopefully with new snow we dont have to many avi's.

Hi Brent, did you guys end up going into Turtle, ..or??? Keystone was great inside, ...but the "trail from hell", ...as you know..

Three consecutive sunshine days during Christmas, ...way cool!!!

See you guys next time around, ..ride safe.
