Anyone in Revelstoke that could give some updates on the snow conditions... I hear that it's mostly tracked up ??? We'll be in Revy next week...
Thanks
Dave

Parking at 3 k junction at Boulder now and up at 4 k lot on the Kirkup.
Streeter St. the Boulder/Frisby connector trail is closed and bare. The W entrance Peaks side has extensive stretches of bare gravel and is no longer being groomed.
Ten ft. of snow at cabin. Some fresh Sun.-Mon. supposed to be snow in the forecast starting tonight.

conditions & Avy conditions

was up in revy this weekend, snow was ok, fairly heavy and sticky. not real soft for jumps. the popluar areas are pretty tracked up.

We dug a pit and found three shear layers 30cm, 60cm & 130cm. note that they all broke quite easily. There was 2.6m of snow at our dig location on a south east aspect. Spoke to a local who was in a slide in the trees where we never thought one would occur, it buried a guy up to his neck and was over two meters deep. the hill was not tall!!! be carefull out there..

Boulder and Frisby will be groomed for the holiday wknd. Thur.-Mon.
At Boulder big trailers are still parking up the Bezanson up from the 3 km. junction and at the 4 km. Kirkup lot, expect to ride some gravel. Trucks with decks are able to drive up further on both trails, still no turn arounds for trailers.
At Frisby there is lots of parking for everyone just above the Streeter St. junction.
Groomers are reporting 8" of fresh snow tonight and more in the forecast.:face-icon-small-hap

At Frisby your parking at the till pit and there is lots of parking for big trailers.

can you still get a 4 place up to km 4 parking lot ? then throw them on the deck from there another couple km?

yes, to 5 km. still no turn around for big trailers. Can`t quite make it to the parking area at 6 km. yet, soon.

What are the avy conditions? any new reports?
i tried too look up the avy situation an it shows high still on the website???

We unloaded on Kirkup right beside the Turtle turn-off. Snow was soft but was in excellent condition. On Sunday it actually was snowing a little too hard to get out of the trees. About 6 inches fresh at best but such an easy drive from Calgary this time of year and the truck didn't even hardle get dirty. Overall well worth the trip.

I will post a You-tube link shortly of my kid on the Turbo M-6 riding on Saturday around Super Bowl.

How is the access to boulder? Can a guy bring a four place or is a small trailer necessary?
