1200 Ski-Doo MCX Turbo

Weight on this with no gas is 507lbs...

40 liters of gas = 63 lbs

Shes about 65-70lbs lighter than its competition :eek:

Lets hit the snow boot jacking, round hat wearing, gut punching, 50 yr old bar fighter. I wants a test ride !

Has any body at Team Yellow done any side by side backcountry steep and deep runs with Team Blue yet ?......Come on guys one would think that both colors would really have alot of fun together comparing notes in the field where the results counts.

Please Doo post the results many of us are waiting.

I admit it is all true, except I am only 49;)

Ha you Flat hatted, Shooter Drinking, cream on the face. also Bar Fighter, I am probably coming out this weekend, you going to be there??

As for it beating all those Yammi's?? This being a prototype sled, we are not laying down the "Smack". There is tons of potential & lots of R&D to be done yet...Nice to see the weight where it is, that coupled with 260hp it should run...Good to have another choice for the riders & if I remember there is still a little room left on the mountains for a new ride, especially near the top;)

got more pics yet?

Hopefully have some Show Pic's later today...I forgat my camera on the weekend, Lance is going to e-mail his pic's to me...This sled looks killer under the bright lights.

Anyone out there take some pic's, go ahead & post them

I had heard from the Doo dealer here in WA that Ski Doo was going to release a stock Turbo 1200 in 2011 , Can anyone confirm?

Can't confirm....but not surprising. Look under the hood on an XR....big empty space with the exhaust looping around behind the front bumper. First I've seen of a "expansion chamber" on a four stroke...LOL. It's MADE to have something there.

That would be sweet! but likely a dream! but I'll ad to it.....how about it having 250hp stock, weigh under 500lbs and be as reliable as a yamaha

...........ok the yamaha reliablity part is really stretch'n I'll admit!:face-icon-small-sho

Darko,By th elooks of your icon, you bought a new xp? You might want to get your air intake looked at. My buddy had his new 09 doo in Fernie here this weekend and as soon as he'd go into the pow it would bog and barely run. He was frigg'n mad! It seemd like an air issue but we're not certain. Is there something we don't know about the stock air intake? does it need some sort of fixxy thingy?

Sheriff, yes please !

Trueblood, tonight I just installed an SLP cold air intake. I "hope" it will solve the problem in the pow pow. If not, im going to build an aluminum filter with perfilter material similar to the one I build for my turbo yami's. They were sucking 19lbs of boost and not clogging, so im sure this 135hp 800r wont clog it;)

Darko Aren't you stretching it a little, 135hp.:o I thought these sleds were 160 hp.;) ***gin Dealers:)

I never had one second of bogging last year with mine & we had some Deep snow to play in...

Darko, you got rooms??

It should be fun watching two MCX kits run side by side. At the horsepower these kits provide it wil just be rider skill or luck of the draw that decides the winner. Although I've be told the MCX kits for the 1200 really are already well past the horsepower range that MCX built into the early Yamaha 1000 motors. MCX has found the 1200 Skidoo at 350hp is easy to do, and the BRP motor is tougher than the Yamaha motors.

R&D isn't cheap, that's what caused Bender to go broke when they decided to "build" turbo kits.

anyone of the 4 main brands put out a stock turbo under warranty and ill be there. leaning more towards the doo b/c its would be a lighter 4-stroke

Doesnt Cat have a stock Turbo this yr with a short track sled... Seems like they would want to get that on a Mtn sled .. I'll never figure out why they dont give you the long track options...
