09 CFI running Problems

Having problems when I goose it or pinch the throttle hard

It's like I hit a rev limiter if I pin the throttle
almost seems like it goes by the position of the throttle

I can creep it up to 7200 rpm if I take it slow (while on a stand)

if I pinch it from idle it cuts out around 3800 rpm

wondering if there is a limp mode or something
Idle, starts, temp all good and great throttle response up to mid

thanks for any help

I've had a very simular problem with my cfi700, torwards the end of a day of riding it will fall on its face every time the throttle is pinned for a significant amount of time. Its been back to the dealer several times, they claim that nothing is wrong of course. I changed my plugs runs fine now. I suspect weak spark when the second set of injectors fire up. Might have something to do with the "Made in Mexico" stickers

I have a 2 injector motor so should not have the mid bog

do you mean voltage regulator or fuel regulator

I hear the atv's do some goofy stuff when the fuel pressure is off

Should have asked what size motor you had first, but assumed you had a 800. Yes if your fuel pressure is off it could also cause an issue like yours.

i have 08 700 switchback im having prob with it every time i take off slow like it goes into a failsafe mode and cuts out the only way i can move it is if i hold the throttle wide open and the speedo goes crazy help please

Put the new fuel filter on still no help

Runs slightly better when first started like first 20 seconds I can get 6000
Other wise 4100 max
Still no service light
Also should it say service off on a screen

Thanks

Intersting. Buddy of mine has one doing the same thing. To me it feels blubbery and seems llike it is overfueling.

i had the same problems! it stumped all of us. i took it in to get pluged in to read the codes and turns out they had a reflash put in mine when the recall stuff was done that made the det sensor very very sensative and it would go nuts and go into limp mode. got the most recent reflash in now and so far it actually idles, just gotta take it out and see how it runs. take it in and have them check it out

I have two 09 rmk's...a 600 and 700....both do this...right from day one!
had it in many times....tps, blew motor on 700 at 411 miles! they keep telling me they cannot reproduce it or at other times just say polaris having trouble with mapping...that does not help me.
Pulled out mbrp can on 600, new plugs, new fuel filter, cleaned ex valves...1200 miles and still does this....exact same symptoms as original poster....running 66 and 64 weights and pulling close to 82 and 83 hundred rpm so think weights are correct...I am running solely flatland....sucks!

Tps was at .8 should be .95
Had a stuck throttle message
All cleared no messages still don't work
Can almost drive it during the first 30 seconds it runs after being off
I need to check fuel press also see below injector voltages maybe regulator

The 16 volt reading to me is a little curious. In my world of automotive, I'd be looking into that however, who knows in the Polaris world.

My buddys had 58 psi (fuel pressure) when I first tested it on a cold start and then after a couple minutes of running, it was around 65 psi.

I think it's going down to the largest Polaris dealer on earth this afternoon
(parts are just too expensive to guess) hopefully I will be able to ride by new years weekend

Kinda wishing I would have not ventured into this whole EFI snowmobile thing because changing jets is easier than what I have been doing

ok 256 dollars later and the worlds dumbest thing found ya and only $6 was parts

the thing sat at the auction Lott all summer with almost no fuel
so condensate corroded the fuel pickup and the tubes were eroded yay
