09/10 Torpy riding conditions

I'm finally in this weekend for the pow fest. That is if there's any pow left after the 9 degree weather we're supposed to be getting this week.

Some Fear you should push enter after every pic before you post the next one, then they will all scroll down, not sideways

Yeah, I was trying photobucket for my pics and didn't realize that you could scale them down in size....oops!! It's all fixed now!!

Anyway, if anyone from the PG area is interested there is going to be a Backcountry Avalanche Workshop on Saturday Nov 28 from 9-5 at the Civic Center. I know, I know, it takes away from a good day of riding but for only $20 it might be worth it!!

uuuuhm, think I'll pass on that one there Brokeback, not into that kind of riding.

Yeah Poo, I understand. I wouldn't wanna ride over head fluffy pow on that pile of bolts either. Good time to play the brokeback card... I didn't sleep in my tent hunting this fall because your known for your lady skills. I guess your right, Not possible to tow out when it's this deep. Always thinking Poo... Perhaps I should come pick up those brackets and bring my sled. What day you boys riding?

Saturday for sure, sunday too if my bucket o bolts is up for it. Don't even bring a rope I got the heli lined up to meet me 10 k in on the road so nobody else has to f up their riding day.
I'm thinking I'll just get my sled couriered out to Stewart this year and tell the guy to leave the meter running when he gets there so I don't have to wait when my sled falls apart. Then I'll just drive the hyundai up, it's cheaper for making emergency parts runs back to P.G.

Headin in on Friday now poo, not sure if I'll be goin on Saturday as well, we'll have to see how the machine holds up.

I don't think your going to get early start on the pow! I think this weather might have ruined it for ya. Should of had your sled ready last weekend.

That's what I though also until we got in there today and tore up the motherfawker. Just goes to show you can't judge by the way PG looks.

went in today with charmaine, forgot my friggin helmet but it didn't matter since her sled blew up at the 12k and I towed her out, bending my tunnel in the process. All in all quite an unepic first ride.
Snowing like crazy out there

We went in on Saturday, another good day of powder riding but visiblity wasn't great at times. There was about two feet of fresh and the trail in on the upper torpy was getting chopped up as well. It was snowing hard on the wayout so today there should be lots of powder as well.

Anybody had a look at 4K thinking that might be an option on the weekend. Mabey head in the old way to the Sande and come out 4K.

does that mean you're riding this weekend? Shoulda said something, gonna tackle old friend with Sloshy tomorrow (wish me luck) hopefully the bridge is in on the misinchinka. you want to ride sunday? I'm definately in for trying the old way haven't seen it in a few years. I'd be up for trying to break the trail up into the 4k tho if it hasn't been done yet

Sounds like your calling for A-Team back-up?? Got that new sled yet? Tired of working the pits NASCAR POO?

Actually we hit it out on the torpy today and I only had to touch my wrenches like 2 times if you believe that. It didn't feel right so I think I'll pull my motor tomorrow for no good reason just out of tradition if for nothing else.
Sled worked good, stoked for Stewart. Tenderloin was even out there today on a solo mission trying out his new iron.

WOW,! You on your new unit? How is it out there. Deep freeze here and a while since snow now with a high freezing level event before the deep freeze. Might be up that way next weekend. Worth bringing my ride?

ya, definately worth bringing your sled up, doubt we'll hit the torpy though the road's just too long to go out there every weekend. Likely hit the pass if a few guys are up for it.
Conditions were not too shabby, a bit windswept but lots in the trees. Frickin cold though -18 in the morning. Definately enough snow to go wherever a guy wants to. Coulda used the a-team to help break trail into the Sande, I thought it was doable but the crew backed out when they saw the first obstacle.....creekbed wasn't quite filled in enough for the turbo guys I guess (you know who you are)
New sled hasn't arrived yet was still slingin the old iron, worked fantastic all day though

I never seen Poorider pull out the floro fanny pack all day! So I guess his sled held together for a ride:beer; You guys missed a:beer;at the cabin. And for anyone else we need to get some firewood at the cabin, limited supply I guess there must have not be a work bee out there this fall. And there is no fire lighting utensils in the cabin.. Had to break in to the emerg gear. Could of froze waiting for the smoker to show up.

Looks like perfect conditions.:beer; Anybody know if the groomer is slated to go out this winter, considering the theft of the cylinders last year i'm thinking they may choose not to.
