I bought my membership today to help the grooming costs. More should do the same; I don't even live in PG but still bought a memebership. Kinda nice to ride a groomed trail into the Torpy; it's an awesome area.
went up on sunday the 17th, groomer has gone up, and from the Y to the cabin hes made 2 passes. about 12 - 16" of untouched everywhere. didnt go to far back as we were running out of gas after playing in the second bowl
Saw this on the Opinion 250 site....can't believe this chit. This guy overstepped his boundaries BIGTIME. There IS NO LAW IN B.C. dealing with age restrictions on young kids riding snowmobiles. What's next??
And the plot thickens.. We were in bear lake the day the Co's where there and befrore they had arived we saw some fellows riding in town with guns on there backs. Monday morning I had a talk with an unrelated CO and told him I was in bear lake at that day and asked him what they were looking for and he told me they had reports of people shootin wolf of the highway. I guess they had to find something to make the trip worth there while????
Back to topic anyone been to the Torpy lately? Its finally snowing today hopefully its enough to fill in tracks.
was around that area on saturday, hard packed but there was not bad snow in the trees. trail was groomed but hard on sliders, hopefully this weekend will be good if we get some more snow.
You missed a pretty good day lester. Blue blazer and the snow wasn't to bad, I think the only thing that saved us in that respect though, was that we were the first ones in there all year. Maybe hit it up again this weekend, there might be more snow then.
There was only about 4" of new snow on Sunday. We need snow there really hasen't been any serious snow there for a long time and the hills are pounded out.
